I just literally have never heard other people use that term until THIS PERSON on lolcow live used it and I probably only watched it on some kino casino clip

If you were a long time MATI enjoyer you’d know Null has called it box for YEARS. First time I recall it clearly was when he was clowning on that gross brown mudslime from the uk or romania.

It's been in the African American vernacular since the early 90s. Urban dictionary started in the early 2000s, probably 2004 I think. Anything pre 2007 on urban dictionary is pretty much a well known pre-2000s term.
It's pretty dumb like most things from the Africans, but why the strange focus on it?

I guess you're probably a recent mati listener because I clearly recall "smash box" being used to satirize people like juju the cow who say it unironically like, a year ago. That's really all there is to it.

I agree, any time I remember him saying the word box as that euphamism it has always been to make fun of someone.
Also I agree with Tulpa that we will never be able to find 10 books that use it, because of the euphamism's origin. There might actually be zero works of literature that use it.
However, the music industry would be a great place to look.
 
I remember hearing people talk about box years ago. Years as in over 15 years ago. Its not new, but is probably more unknown to zoomer shits and gen alpha.

Its just old slang.
