The only thing i can think of when it comes why certain socities evolved and others didn't is climate. If you're in Europe and you didn't prepare for the winter, you would die either because of it got too cold or because you were starving, but places like Africa or South America were basically paradise for human beings. Nice weather all year round, no hurricanes, no earthquakes, no activate volcanoes, no huge natural disaster that would fuck shit up.
I stil wonder, though, how the natives would have been now if hadn't they been killed by conquistadores. They were building pyramids and shiet.

One of the primary determining factors of how far a civilization can advance is whether it has easy access to bronze and/or iron. Metal tools are a hard wall for civilizational progress. The Aztec, Maya, and Inca were able to develop some pretty impressive civilizations given what they were working with, but without easy access to metal that was suitable for making into tools, they had basically reached the upper limit. One of the major advantages that Eurasia had was fairly abundant useful metal deposits close enough to the surface that they could be easily mined with primitive tools.

No it wasn't. A significant chunk of Africa is not arable. Pathological organisms thrive more readily in tropical areas with high rainfall. By and large the animals on the African savannah could not be domesticated. South America is not all tropical.

Sir this is the mad at the internet thread. The internet hasn't even been invented in Africa yet - you can post about it in about another 1000 years once their tech tree advances a bit more.
