To be fair, you have to have a very high IQ to post on Kiwi Farms. The humour is extremely subtle, and without a solid grasp of human retardation most of the jokes will go over a typical reader’s head. There’s also Josh's nihilistic outlook, which is deftly woven into his characterisation- his personal philosophy draws heavily from Narodnaya Volya literature, for instance. The fans understand this stuff; they have the intellectual capacity to truly appreciate the depths of these jokes, to realise that they’re not just funny- they say something deep about LIFE. As a consequence people who dislike Kiwi Farms truly ARE idiots- of course they wouldn’t appreciate, for instance, the humour in Josh's existential obsession with his platonic love, Chantal, which itself is a cryptic reference to Sir Mixalot's musical epic I like big butts. I’m smirking right now just imagining one of those addlepated simpletons scratching their heads in confusion as Josh’s genius wit unfolds itself on MATI. What fools.. how I pity them. 😂

I think this is the more likely case. "Educated fields" are the ones most filled with dogmatic mouth breathers and it ends up becoming oppressive in most corporate or academic environments unless you march in lockstep. So these people tend to be surrounded the most and with the highest intensity, which makes them desperately need an escape valve. Someone doing a more blue collar work is likely to at least work around people that aren't brainwashed faggots, so they don't have that much of a burning desire to find a website to call someone a creepy tranny.

That doesn't exactly mean they are fascinated by Lolcows, though dear Feeder may hate the people that visit the site without being too invested, at least initially, on the cows, it is undeniable that it is a safe haven to just candidly speak (and even then sooner or later you just end up paying interest to the cows, initially I only cared about the That Guy With the Glasses crowd and Jim Sterling, but thanks to the forum highlights I've understood the fascination with Ragehog, discovered the Tranch which is a fucking hoot, got Dylan and his AGP wretchedness in full display and so on). And I mean, it's fucking great to hear takes from (supposed) specialists in certain sectors that can give some nice gossip or ideas on how things work from a standpoint that is beyond standard layman terms.

And at least in my case, sometimes you just want to talk about videogames without having to constantly bite your tongue, and this site is incredibly comfy for that sort of stuff.

There's some ruckus on twitter about an LA degenerate infiltrating one of the cringeier parts of the right wing and running a long term "human trafficking advocacy" grift. Tim Pool is involved, Brittany Venti, Quartering etc (I assume Rekieta is balls deep in it, seems like potentially his kind of thing).
