"Mad at the Internet" - a/k/a My Psychotherapy Sessions

What the fuck? How do you cover up seven people's deaths? This was a tiny fucking mining town, there aren't that many people there. You take out 7 of them that's 7 families that are all badly impacted. Two people dying would have been the talk of the town for weeks. This is bullshit. Why do we continue to give troons money to write their lesbian fantasies into video games with the most haphazard stupidly written plots imaginable?

I guess I'll spoiler since you did too:

Well, we only know of the two miners that died. One was Mr. Chen, who apparently had given his kids up for adoption or something and had an immigrant's accent, so he might not have had any family, or even friends. But yeah, the other guy's death might have been harder to cover up.

Come to think of it, why did Gabe Chen move to that same town where his father died? Did they ever explain that, or are we to chalk it up as a cosmic coincidence?

I'm spoiling shit as well:
I don't believe Alex or Gabe knew where their father was. Although, when Alex was having her hallucinations from almost dying and looking at her past, she had a bunch of return to sender letters that she had written to her dad from the orphanage. So maybe she did know where he was located. But why would Gabe move somewhere near his father? He hated him. He blamed his father for splitting up their family.

I don't know, the story has too many holes in it.
 
Come to think of it,

did we ever figure out what the purpose of the second explosion was? If it was to destroy the mine where Mr. Chen and the other guy died, they did a shitty job of it since Alex was able to walk around down there freely and even walk out the front entrance. Also, was that the same mine site the kid got into in episode 2? If not, then the ease with which Alex left the entrance shows they didn't even have a locked gate or something. Anyone could have gone down there and found the truth.

The more you think about it, the more the plot unravels…

Does anyone know what the hissing sound that kept happening was? Like supplied oxygen or something?
