I think it is a very interesting essay, would encourage other kiwi's to read it if they haven't. It isn't some giant socialist BS either, You could hardly call Russell a fucking communist, guy detested Stalin.

I've always ascribed to a similar theory on DSP. Namely that he has a literal guardian angel of sorts. Some kind of entity, some obscure chaos god like Sheogorath from TES (it could even just be a glownigger with good connections, maybe Bella's penchant for internet drama runs in the family) saw the circus around DSP and his detractors and found it so entertaining, that they put him under their protection. And ever since, whenever DSP does something retarded that would spell the end for any normal person, this entity intervenes in mysterious ways and prolongs his presence on the internet just to keep the entertainment going.

Didn't get a chance to watch this mati ep live but during the ralph travel part, did null not think that ralph might have travel insurance to cover the hospital bill?
I mean its a pretty basic thing that he could have cheaped out on paying for travel insurance but whatever I didn't see it brought up.
Some one in the ralph thread mentioned he did buy it and paid extra for it even?

Ralph mentioned that he got travel insurance, even saying it added ~$100 to the price.

Not an expert but I imagine the insurance he went for is to cover if the flight doesn’t happen or he has to cancel. I can’t imagine 100 dollars would cover his emergency room expenses.

@R00T do a quick quote online and you will find that travel insurance is very cheap, my travel insurance to the states cost less than 70 us dollars. The extra cost he might have paid on top of say like a basic x amount of dollars for hospital stays and costs, a premium for options like ski accidents or hiking that they exclude from basic plans due to the blow out of treatment costs from those kinds of accidents (or deaths, body and funeral costs etc).

One quote for 3 weeks in Portugal with top coverage came out to 120 usd on my end so yeah, he had insurance.
