I actually do think she wants the novelty of children without the responsibility of children. Chantal wants the attention, doting, sympathy, praise and allocations given to a mother; but she doesn't want to put in all the effort of actually being a mother.
If one of those creepy Reborn Dolls granted her all the perks of being an adored "mommy" she'd have a dozen of the damn things - and would just dump them in the cupboard when there wasn't anyone around to flatter her for being a mother.

In Mad At The internet episode August 6th, 2021, Josh covered a story in which a man, Don Sucher, left a sign up in his Star Wars themed gift shop and was confronted in his store by a hulking transwoman. This was around the time that Dr. Seuss was being "cancelled" for his earlier earlier books (remember that?) Here's the sign:

Sucher and the transwoman's conversation became heated, and eventually led out of the store.
The Star Wars themed store that Don, the man in the video ran, "Sucher and Sons Star Wars Shop" in Aberdeen, WA, shut down earlier this year likely around January.
It was originally a shop started by the owner when his children expressed a heavy interest in Star Wars at a young age. Yelp reviews as far back as 2020 up to 2021 mention that the store encouraged people not to wear masks in the store and went against Washington anti-Covid protocol, which seems to be the leading theory as to why the store shut down.
The transwoman seen in the video is Tiesa Meskis a councilwoman who was elected in a somewhat Conservative area that accepted her as she was framed as being somebody who cared about infrastructural issues and not social issues. On quick glance it looks like 'she' has been quiet and 'her' alleged Twitter handle (@valasule) seems to no longer exist.

Youtube might be messing with MATI, as before I could type in "Mad at the Internet" or "MATI" and Null's channel would pop up when there was an upcoming stream, today I couldn't find it and had to use the website link but the MATI archive was fine.
Probably doesn't help that Starwars has gone to such shit under Disney that business took a hit there as well most likely.
