"Mad at the Internet" - a/k/a My Psychotherapy Sessions

My podcasts are backlogged but I haven't listened to MATI lately. I know that October has been horrific for the site but I have to wonder when that Lowtax stream is coming, seeing as how Josh said he'd do a stream on him like a year ago.
The universe has conspired to make the Lowtax stream not happen, do not tempt fate further by uttering its name.

Josh recently said he has no interest in the Metal Gear franchise. Would he be interested in Revengance? He's played Rules of nature as an intro before. It's entertaining and has little downtime, plus the message is pretty good and relevant

It's no wonder Null hates anime. All he sees are the retarded dime-a-dozen JRPGs with perversions and degeneracy, assuming all of them must be the same. It's like Japanese gamers seeing the Xbox and thinking it only has violent, shooting games. If all Null ever plays are multiplayer, quick games to pick up with short stories like Darkest Dungeon or Outlast, then he plays the anti-thesis of Japanese RPGs which are single-player and long stories. (and yet he played Fallout New Vegas, though?)

I am actually surprised at how little Null knows about Final Fantasy, one of the most famous and iconic video game series in the industry. A series which Japanese players actually complain for being too heavily western-like (yes really). Listening to the way he described his interpretation of Final Fantasy, it was like listening to a boomer struggle to interpret the difference between Playstation and Nintendo. Appalling.

I don't see these video game streams as potential to recommend Japanese games to him. The Japanese simply do not like games which are short and have poor value. They like owning video games, they like games lasting a long time, games with lots of content, and DLC-less games being a single package. It took Nintendo a long time to grasp western gaming industry culture and companies like Square Enix rely a lot on their North American branch to translate values (and still fails at it).

If Null doesn't make the effort to try a JRPG, I say just let him be. As someone who grew up with JRPGs, though, it makes me sad. Makes me feel all the more aware how diverse people are, how we can live in different worlds yet on the same planet.

...That said, Null should give Dishonored a try because I want to see his approach for neutralizing targets. Stealth or violence, non-violent neutralization or murder. Very wholesome playthrough if you go full stealth and non-violent neutralization. Pure lunacy otherwise. With the way the game is split into chapters per target, it is a great game for streaming in short bursts.

So I did a comparison of the live to the oldest archive. I think I found the Farms adjacent link.

It just goes to here

EDIT: oh yeah, I uncovered it from here.
All mentions.

EDIT 2: whoops forgot to also post

Which mentions the Farms here as well.

I'm sure you've been overloaded with video game suggestions, but if you're still looking for recommendations consider Tunic. It's basically isometric Link's Awakening with Dark Souls elements and some of the most innovative puzzles I've seen in over a decade. It's also relatively short.

There's a great horror themed total conversion mod for classic DOOM called Solace Dreams that I'd recommend playing. It has a really unique aesthetic with a heavy emphasis on voxel styled graphics. Download page says it's supposed to clock in at around 2 hours, perfect length for a Bad at Video Games stream.

Something totally zany like Doom Hack would also be good fun to watch just because it's so ridiculous. It's complete madness if you go into it blind.

For the love of God, josh please show how fucking horrific hila looks right now
I genuinely thought this was Narcissa Wright at first.
The guilt of her IDF days must weigh heavy.

And to a lesser extent, the TYT screaming about pedos is also hilarious

Coffee suggestion. OXO Brew Single Serve Pour-Over Coffee Maker makes an exquisite cup of black, restaurant grade coffee every time. It was engineered to regulate the pour speed for optimal brewing without having to keep an eye on it.

Looks somewhat difficult to clean and maintain. A Hario v60 is basically the same thing, but it's a one-piece plastic (or glass if you're fancy) funnel. Extremely easy to clean—throw out the used filter and coffee grounds, run it under water for 10 seconds, and set it to dry for the next day. Simple, quick, and makes good coffee, whether single serve or in a larger carafe.

it's essentially a rip off of the V60 they just added the slow drip reservoir so you don't have to pour at a specific speed. You can dump all your hot water at once come back and get your coffee brewed at the correct speed. easy to clean.

This could possibly be worth covering on MATI. It seems that the LGBTQIAPQWERTY+ community is trying to frame the word "groomer" as an actual slur for gay people now, which is quite hilarious.

Marjorie Taylor Greene tweeted Scott Wiener, a gay California senator, calling him a "groomer" and now the media is acting as if she had called him a faggot instead. I shouldn't be surprised by the absolute state of the press after the Keffals shit but it is shocking to watch a narrative being shaped like this in real time.

@Null for your consideration for a future BadAtVideoGames stream. Snoot Game:

You received a couple superchats about it but you probably have no clue what it's about. It's a parody game of a game that was announced at the launch of the PS5 Goodbye Volcano High, the game itself has a thread going over the multiple meltdowns of the devs. The Parody game was fairly well received by some of the thread members. I have updated the OP with a few of the most recent developments:
