It's not so much that I think CNN is that honest, rather that most news accomplishes its big lie by means of very specific falsehoods.
"George Zimmerman shot Trayvon Martin" is an accurate statement, and the picture they show might be a picture of both, but the lie comes in the lightning of George Zimmerman's skin, so there are plenty of truthful aspects to it, but that one change is enough to completely warp the impression people have of the topic in such a way that it seems to be that they were 100% dishonest, but if challenged on it from that angle they can point to all the factual bits and downplay how much they lie.
If on the other hand people come at it from the stance that even 10% of their reporting being a lie is egregious and that an even smaller percent of that can completely invalidate and skew a story beyond recognition, then I think it would wake more people up to how bad journos are.
