There's a massive tradition of Boarding School books in Britain. There's the Billy Bunter series, (which also gave rise to the more adult Flashman series)
Jennings and Molesworth (a sort of boys St Trinian's, illustrated by the same illustrator, Ronald Searle), all featuring boys.
Then there's The Chalet School, Mallory Towers and Trebizon which all feature girls. I really enjoyed the Chalet School, they're hard to get now, but they start before the first world war in the Austrian Tyrol, and involve the school having to keep relocating because wars keep breaking out. There's over one hundred in the series, iirc. (Give me your best puzzle pieces, please, we had to make our own fun before the internet.)

A book recommendation for Josh: Camp of The Saints, by Jean Raspail. It is a work of fiction from the 1970s, that envisages the third world coming en masse to the first world and the destruction of Western civilization - the title referring to a passage in the Book of Revelations depicting the apocalypse. While the premise can appear hyperbolic sensationalism, the underlying motivations of different characters in their response to the situation (and its causes) is quite précis and very readable. It was critically lauded upon release, and again re-emerged onto the best seller list in 2011, despite complaints of racism and the SPLC decrying it as the immigration analog to The Turner Diaries. I haven't read The Turner Diaries, but I have heard that the writing is not actually particularly good and is only popular because of a lack of other literature appealing to the demographic audience it was aimed at. On the contrary, I found the writing in Camp of The Saints to be very nuanced and can't really be criticized from a literary perspective. It is originally in French, which I do not read, but the English translation that I found on LibGen was fantastic. I initially found it hard to get into as it just seemed to fit the SPLC's assessment of being sensationalist and inflammatory, but once the characters developed it emerges as a well crafted piece of literature. Raspail manages to present believable characters that accurately represent archetypes of political positions. The skill of the writing cannot just be dismissed based on the actual content of the story.

Given the French origin, I find it very prescient for what is happening in Europe at the moment -- it is just that in reality it is a gradual process rather than the fictional migration of whole countries at once.

If we're recommending books then I'll shill one that I enjoyed some years ago. It tackles some interesting subjects and envisions what "equality" is, taken to it's logical (and a bit extreme) conclusion.

I also have to point out 10mgs is an absurd amount of xanax, it's probably Ralph's obesity that barely keeps him functioning, I'm a pretty skinny guy and got memory gaps when I took 1mg of xanax. Most I have ever heard anyone prescribed is 2mgs per day.

I never really played Silent Hill but I do remember seeing that dude post a killer recipe for honey toast on twitter one time and it reminded me of that. I make this toast regularly now, and I thank my Groriousu nippon art man for telling me about it.

Here is the fuck toast, to the guy on the youtube comments who asked for it.

Here's how I make it.
1. Glaze honey lightly on the toast, not enough to make it soggy.
2. Toast that shit for half the time you would normally
3. Butter it lightly after the first toasting
4. Moar hunny, light glayze
5. Toast again for half the time you normally would.
6. Chinese pepper time. Black pepper can work too, and I also like to put some paprika on there sometimes because I'm a mutant.

You will be left with a very soft yet crunchy little piece of sweet bread that goes great with bitter coffee and a breakfast of grape nuts or boiled eggs.
