Agreed. Lolcow antics stop being funny the moment a child gets involved. I feel the same disgust I felt when Attila and Jewel Rancid's baby was born addicted to heroin and God knows what else because those two wastes of life spent her entire pregnancy drinking and doing hard drugs.

Thankfully, the hospital took the child away when she was born, but it's always sad when a baby is born to uncaring, vile parents, forced to live their entire life drifting through the US's foster care system while dealing with the potentially permanent damage dealt during their development by their parents' awful actions.

God bless the kind soul who wrote MUTE with a sharpie on that button some years back. They've saved me from much irritation.

There was a woman who dedicated her life to paying crack whores and other drug addicts hard money in exchange for sterilizing themselves. It wasn't even a huge amount of money or anything, a few hundred from what I can remember. I forgot her name but I donated some money to her cause a few years back. The government could no doubt save thousands of lives and millions of dollars if it did something similar. Unfortunately, it seems like some children are fated for an extemely rough start at life.

The state government used to be able to sterilize you if you were a career felon. It only got overturned by the Supreme Court in the 40s, in Skinner v. Oklahoma. If I recall correctly, the facts of the case were that a multiple felon got caught stealing chickens, which was a felony at the time in the state, and was going to be sterilized under the pertinent state statute. So if Oklahoma weren't so gungho about prosecuting chicken thieves, we might have had state-sanctioned sterilization for a while longer.

Pretty sure he meant this guy. The algorithm fed me one of his videos that was filled to the brim with barely censored jolly rage at a bunch of MSM articles claiming owning chickens was a "bad idea" back when the increase in egg prices was prevalent in the news. So has anyone else around here noticed a problem trying to type posts on mobile? I'm using the brave browser on my phone and for some reason when I try to type a reply, it will start spazing out, messing up quote functions, adding in lots of new lines, etc. At first I thought it was maybe this broken website but then I saw similar behavior on a different site and realized it must be some bug in the browser but no luck uncovering it yet.

I've done the same thing as Fatrick when I accidentally left my phone in my pocket when going clamming in an estuary. My phone still worked afterwards cause it automatically cut off the battery supply until it was dried. Literally any normal ass modern phone would have worked better than the piece of shit he bought.

I think the salinity of the water is the main problem. I once took my (significantly less than $1800) smartphone into the sea for perhaps 60 seconds like a complete retard. Immediately tried to dry it out and do everything to bring the moisture out from the inside, but it was done. When I took the SIM card out there was visible salt encrusted on the chip, so I imagine the inside of the phone looked similar.

I've been having lots of inconsistent issues when browsing on a phone, particularly with display and also stickers, but almost no issues when using desktop.
