FUCK YOU @Null , that pun killed me.

Here's that video I super chatted you, Rules for Rulers, Josh. I know the idea of watching a semi-long form video on politics sounds excruciating, but I think it's actually pretty succinct. To some it's black pilling, but I think there's value in the high level abstraction of politics, and far reaching implications for any power structure.

The nuance of my thesis was impossible to convey in a super chat, and I admit may be overzealous, but what I am wrestling with is what the happy medium would be.
If the population is more aligned in their views, then it's easier for politicians to take power.
At the same time, a more politically cohesive population may lead to leadership more inclined to operate in the interests of the people.

Ultimately I have no idea what the fuck would be the ideal level of unity vs division. There are tradeoffs and I'm experiencing a sort of mental tug of war.

I would count it personally. I'm sure most other enthusiasts would too.

Someone you may want to peruse the content of, if you are looking for more is Goat Burger. He has done a some of those SS13 tracks and as of late a lot of Battletech/Mechwarrior inspired work. His channel is here:

One of his originals:

Edit: Eh... Here's more in line with what I was thinking from him:
The above is fine, it's just not in genre for him.

I'd also recommend reading the book that was used for reference in his video, The Dictator's Handbook.

Yeah, it's a loosely defined genre of largely sci-fi inspired folk style songs. Often comedic, sometimes serious and dramatic. One of the most famous is Dawson's Christian:
One of my favorites.

The top comment is good too. I don't know what it's referencing.
Pilot: why are we torching this world?
Gunner: its on the list.
Pilot: yeah but why is it on the list?
