Starship Troopers by Robert Heinlein - short, easily read in 1day and it's nothing like the movies; great philosophical and societal ideas

I can second this recommendation but don't read it all in a day. Reading entire books in a single day doesn't give you the time you need to think about stuff. Check out Starship Troopers but read a chapter or two a day and dream about killing skinnies.

Destiny did actually stumble onto a potentially powerful point that, since young marriages often fail and so respect for marriage can’t be why the fail-right pushes the idea, that there is a similar possessiveness toward women’s bodies on display. But he’s a cuck and so can’t make that claim with a straight face.

Thats not really a hard thing to understand, if you ve talked to older generations.

I have peers that married their highschool sweet hearts, and it went well for them.

But I ve also seen people marry young reproduce and it makes a mess.

My computer's A/C adapter blew a fuse in the fuse box and I'm waiting on a replacement C20 that doesn't need a plug adapter. My delivery time window is ridiculous.

I was going to suggest just going to the hardware store(they have them there, right) and getting a replacement plug and chopping off the US end and putting on a local plug (assuming it was the US end that was the problem).
Then I remembered Josh's technical skill and there are 3 wires and 3 pins so 6 possible ways of doing it and only 2 will work and only one is correct.... so maybe just wait for the replacement cable.

Null is the only man who can take a simple thirty second job of chopping off a plug and putting on a new one, and turn it into a six week endeavor that ends in some kind of wire cocoon that breaks the big I Internet again.

I think Null is talking about the C20 IEC plug? Very weird to see one of those on domestic stuff.

My guess is he’s using a US mains cord through some kind of travel adaptor that has a small fuse in it, which has blown.

IMO cut the end off the cable, put a rewirable Schuko plug on it, make sure the PSU is set to 230V, job done.

Presumably it's a IEC C20 cable from the power supply to the wall because it's designed to work with Amerimutt voltages which means twice the current so the standard IEC C13 would be insufficient in the US, running it on 230V Eastern European voltages should be fine as long as the circuit is at least 10 amps(20 at 120V)

C20 can refer to either a circuit breaker (230V, 20A with trip characteristic C, oversized for a standard type-f wall socket), which I thought may be the case because he mentioned a fuse box:

?? I've been bombarded with clips from "whatever" for months now. Not seen anybody advocating for marriage argue that it's ok for men to cheat. Certainly not folks I recognize like Michael Knowles or Mary the Ghost. It sounds more like people are confusing "disagrees with feminists" as being on the same side - but they're not. The pro-marriage folk would fight with the cheaters just as much and often do.

there's definitely a subset of "tradlarpers" who are ralph-tier or slightly above who basically hold "yeah, you shouldn't cheat, but a woman cheating is much much worse than a man cheating (because she can get preggers, because cuck, because whatever)". But part of that is because most tradlarpers are men, and many men today have no real idea of personal responsibility for themselves - they'd like to be the only man whore living in a perfect Christian society, doing whatever they want but everyone else is straight and good. They should read Plato's Republic because their hot takes are 2400 years out of date and were lame even back then.

An example of above is the "woman teacher molested students? was she hot? niiiiiiice" that is so common.
