"Mad at the Internet" - a/k/a My Psychotherapy Sessions

Found out from A&H that not even our sacred October is safe from the gays…

October is itself LGBTQ+ History Month, the Los Angeles Unified School District bureaucracy has reminded what it calls the district’s “fabulous educators.”

Fuck it. Might as well turn every day into LGBTQIAP+ bullying day.
Stream today at 5pm ET / 11pm EU.

My schedule may be completely thrown off for the rest of the year. I will let you guys know as soon as I know if my times will be different or if I have to cancel.

"Forcing" yourself to do a stream (even if it's fun) can make it worse. There is more important shit going on right now (Greer and Dong Gone e.g.), so it would be best to take care of that first.

I'm going to be real with you. I read the images in the post then watched the youtube video that is the same topic but as far as I could tell unrelated to SumWong Cho. I didn't click any of the articles since those just seemed to be the sources for the screenshots. I still think if you're going to post screenshots of someone getting what they deserve you should post both the before and after.
Before:

That last tweet is cracking me up. Even after he's been relegated to ONLY Asian roles, he's still upset that they're giving him roles for other types of Asians (he's Korean). He's literally sowing more shit as he's reaping his previously sowed shit. He cannot help himself, amazing.

Valid criticism.

The Industry pushed for this idea(forced Support) with the threat of blacklisting nay-sayers to be part of the industry .
When it was your actor.
Act like the person you are auditioning for ( person fit for the job).

You love to see it! They only wanted the rule applied to white people. They want blacks, Asians, Jews, and everything else to be able to voice one another AND white characters, and then those oppressors, the white skinned voice actors, will get the crumbs of white roles remaining thereafter.

You sowed shit. You're reaping shit. Eat shit, stupid fuck.
No, they only want the rule applied to people that have no experience or have "no business" in being in the voice actor industry by whatever fucked up principals they happen to have at the time. I've seen this shit with Vivienne Medrano who decided to fire her original voice cast (people who had little to no experience in the industry) to bring in celebrities in Hazbin Hotel and getting fucking Kesha of all people to voice her stupid furry OC she calls beezlebub. They just want to be cronies who will get all the roles meanwhile the peasants get to eat shit. This whole racial identity thing is just a mask so that they can acquire sympathy from the armchair liberals who will gladly throw in their blind support without really thinking about what their alterior motive is. These are people who want a stupid generation of consumers while they're the ones who stay on top and keep the competition down under their heel.

I won't lie, I do giggle at the anime sucks superchats because they always happen back to back and the ridiculousness of it plus the exasperation in Josh's voice always sends me for whatever reason
I deeply enjoy it because I generally only listen so I don't have to see it, and hearing a disgusted person describe something disgusting but not abhorrent is extremely funny, like court cases where they describe shit that's out of their (and most not online people) understanding from the internet.

Voice acting from what I've gathered is a cutthroat industry that doesn't even have enough shitty unpaid roles (to say nothing of the highly sought after roles like vidya/anime characters) to go around for a direly oversaturated field of talent. Very much not a business where young talent should be recklessly fucking with their scarcely existent leverage by commanding potential employers to not hire them.

If anything I get why they all just hire the same 10 aging white guys for all the premium roles when the up-and-comers are so unprofessional. Any time I hear about VA drama it's some Twitter addicts lamenting how the people they want to hire them are literally Hitler and then frustrated that they're hard up for work and money.

He should've taken notes from YongYea and spent years building direct connections with people in the industry in which he wants to voice act. That faggot went from reading Reddit posts verbatim for Youtube asspats to voice acting key roles in the Yakuza series. You've got to make moves to get ahead in those sorts of industries and crying for "authentic voice casting" with the delusion that it'll lead to more roles for YOU is petulant.

This is objectively good advice, however I have a deep parasocial attachment to the streams and demand them nonetheless :)

I don't know much about the VA industry as a whole, but if what you're saying is true than it's not surprising it's cancer all around. Especially since it's such a highly competitive field that requires you to prospect frequently and your job security hinges on how much clout and pull you have. If you're a no name, fuck you. If you're a high class who has friends in the right places and has fans willing to lap your dick up, hell yeah, welcome aboard! Apparently the higher tier want to stay higher tier and crush any competition underfoot meanwhile the bottom tier talent just want to bite the hand that feeds.
