The Humane Society of Missouri’s (HSMO) Animal Cruelty Task Force (ACT) recently recovered 43 starving Shiba Inus from a former commercial breeder. ACT team members also recovered nine dog carcasses. (Article)

According to PR Newswire, the Douglas County Sheriff obtained a warrant to remove the dogs and transfer their care to HSMO. The Shiba Inus rescued from the breeder’s property were injured, ill, and emaciated. A veterinarian from the Missouri Department of Agriculture, along with the ACT team, assessed the dogs before relocating them to HSMO in South City.
“We’re grateful to the Animal Health Division staff at the Missouri Department of Agriculture for lending assistance with this horrific situation and heart-wrenching rescue,” said HSMO President Kathy Warnick.

She continued: “The conditions at this property amount to one of the worst cases of animal neglect we’ve seen this year. The caring citizen who tipped off the Douglas County Sheriff’s Department undoubtedly saved the lives of many of these innocent dogs and gave them a second chance at life. We’ll do everything in our power to ensure these sweet animals receive the care they need to fully recover and find loving forever homes.”

Probably, when he was younger, YMS was aiming for a more feminin look. As for the other picture shown, it is important to know that lenses also changed a lot the face's shape of the subjet. It is why selfies look radically different from professional photoshoots.

The skull shape on men is naturally supposed to undergo drastic changes in just the last 1-3 years of second puberty, which ends at age ~25. Women's change in that time frame as well, but generally not even half as drastically and begins much sooner, so it's very gradual. What a lot of people know as "twink death" is simply a man reaching his full adulthood combined with poor health maintenance consequences hitting very suddenly because the developmental changes that were holding them off ceased. Though for some men, those consequences hit before second puberty ends.

Sweden's parliament has voted through a new bill empowering the government to increase the minimum salary for a work permit. This is what we know so far.
What is the new bill and where does it come from?
The new bill, called "A higher subsistence requirement for labour migrants" (Ett höjt försörjningskrav för arbetskraftsinvandrare), was formally proposed by the former Social Democrat government on September 6th after discussions in the social insurance committee.

The bill empowers the government to raise the maintenance requirement for work permit applicants from outside the EU, the Nordic countries and Switzerland above the current 13,000 kronor a month.
The bill does not specifically state how much higher the maintenance requirement should be, or propose a date for when the changes should come into force.

How high is the new maintenance threshold likely to be?
It's not yet clear. However, the government may choose to follow the Tidö Agreement through which the far-right Sweden Democrats and the three government parties (the Moderates, Christian Democrats and Liberals) agreed to back Moderate leader Ulf Kristersson as prime minister.
In this agreement the parties agreed to set the minimum salary for work permits to be awarded at the median salary in Sweden, which is about 33,000 kronor a month.

It really depends on a few variables.

If you make significant open space in the face like Beany did, a candle will be able to breathe just fine without having to cut a chimney hole out of the lid (preferably in the back). However, if it's significantly breezy, the candle is likely to get blown out and you'll need to use an LED.

As a general pointer for anyone not confident in their Jack carving skills: find an image with good, well spaced lines and print it out at a size that best fits the smoothest side of your pumpkin and cut off the excess edges of paper. After you cut, gut and clean your gourd, use thumbtacks/pushpins to pin your trimmed stencil onto that smooth pumpkin face, placing the tacks on the lines you'll be cutting, and be generous with these contact points. You will be removing tacks as you go, and you don't want parts you haven't traced yet being freefloaters that fall out of place. Use a scalpel or an Exact-o knife to trace the lines (preferably on either side of the lines for etched areas), beginning from the center details of the image, moving outward and removing tacks as needed. Once all lines are traced, the stencil is done and you're ready to shave the skin off of any etched parts and cut all the way through the others. Use an LED or multiple tealights in a pitch black room to check your etchings to see if they need to be deepened in order for your design to glow brighter.

Using this method, anyone can carve Jacks that look very impressive and detailed. I'll include a few images as examples of varying detail levels that work well. Please keep in mind that finer details and cuts that are very close together are generally only for etching rather than being cut all the way through, as are the designs that don't maintain connected points on the uncut portion.
