MATI sorta reminds me of programs on NPR in that regard. Or podcasts before everyone one and their mom found out that you could have a boring, rambling conversation and make money by publishing it.

Like wow, this nigga makes notes for his livestreams. Actual effort put into a live stream?! It takes so little to impress me these days.

Last night on Saturday Night Live, they had a sketch about rap. One of the characters does a song that sounds exactly like the Wuhan song. Instead of, "ling ling ling," it was, "cling cling cling."

It may be a stretch, but I think there's a non-zero amount of television writers who read the farms and listen to the podcast.

SNL's writers have stolen at least two Cum Town bits in the past few years. SNL might not associate with "edgy" NY comics but people live Che and Pete Davidson are more plugged into that community than they publicly acknowledge, the writers room probably has a few people who are very aware of who's doing what in that scene but are more restrained by that corporate TV money.
The rap skit sounds more like millennials complaining about shitty zoomer rap than a direct reference to that song to me. But I'm pretty sure the zoomer face tattooed soundcloud rapper trend they're making fun of has been dead since 2018 so not sure what they're going for.

Apparently old youtuber "The Completionist" have had a "scam" charity for years acording to the pajeet Mutahar and Karl Jobst (the speedrunner dude whos wife Null insulted on MATI that one time)

The Tax Filings

The Completionis made a charity called "The Open Hand Fundation" which has all of the money they have raised sitting in the bank account.
The tax filings has sowed that they have have had a small ammount of the money raised each year as expenses and the rest is just piling up in their bank account.
The Completionist claims on the livestreams that all the money is going to research and to help various people which none of the tax filings are able to back up.
When Karl Jobst reached out to them to ask where the money was going they said that they have not found a partnership that has met thier standards and asks him if he know of any.
The Completionist claims he just recently (2020) learned that the money were not going to any charities, research or any other organisations.

There is now a thread of it.

To be fair years ago when a bunch of overly online nutjobs uncovered Rebecca Sugar's pre-Steven Universe drawings because they were pissed at her, one of them was the exact same Ratatouille joke. So it could have been parallel thinking but I agree that they probably did imitate Cum Town.

Don't blame this particular thing on us. He may be from Canada, but the people in that crowd are British since that's the country he plays in. These headlines always make me laugh when they refer to guys like this as a "star" in their sport. If I'm being charitable I could interpret their meaning in regards to the league, but in the sport of hockey Matt Petgrave being labelled a "star" would be like calling someone with 75 Youtube subscribers a notable e-celeb, while Adam Johnson would've had like 2500 since he at least played in the NHL at one point.

I got this video in my feed about how an old couple who ran an E-commerce blog was actually cyberstalked and harrassed by EBay employees and the chief officer and senior director of safety and security of eBay. Because their blog was talking negative opinions about eBay.
And the one employee that was carrying out the harassment seems a little “off”
