I like Sam Hyde well enough, but I wouldn't call myself a fan...View attachment 5504872
this woman worked with mde for a while years ago, including on the production of the tv show. she's been calling sam a serial groomer for years and wants to do an interview.
is it worth dealing with tens of thousands of pissed off sam hyde sycophants to do it
There have been grooming & abuse rumors circling Sam for years now... I don't know a lot about the claims but it definitely seems like there's something there. (Even in the most charitable interpretation it seems Sam gets a kick out of hurting and humiliating women)
For example
And
If Sam is some sort of pedo or groomer - and if that's the truth - then why should he be protected just because people like his art, politics, or attitude?
People protected and gave the benefit of the doubt to Roman Polanski because he was a "talented artist" and made genre breaking visuals, but it turned out he was a serial child rapist.
If the allegations against Sam are credible and are substantive (more than just claims of hurt fee fees) then I say do it.
We wouldn't protect some weird Chester the Molester why should Sam get special treatment? Conversely if this is some bullshit story without any receipts, then obviously don't give it airtime.
I've always been in favor of a policy of "stand on the side of the truth and let the chips fall where they may.". Maybe it's not pragmatic, and maybe it's a bit foolish... but at least it's moral, and that way you sleep just fine.
The only reason not to do it on my view is if you have too much on your plate already, and if you want to keep your focus on more important things.
