Not a big fan of the large amount of time dedicated to acting scenes in this, perhaps included to pad out the runtime to 1 hour 30 minutes. It's like, half real documentary and half shitty boomer emotional propaganda film. It's a bit entertaining, but I would have preferred more documenting.
I like the old white woman asking why everyone in the top echelon of society is promoting it simultaneously though, she comes off as a based jew naming schizo.

I watched the trailer and was turned off by the reliance on reenactments and over emotional music. Really made it seem like a questionable documentary. Sad to hear real stories are buried in bullshit.

The fake acting scenes portray the story of a teenaged girl who was groomed into trooning out and eventually killed herself after starting medical transition when she realized that she will never be like her brother. If someone cut out all the retarded acting from Z-listers, it would be a better production because literally all the information conveyed in the acting scenes is told to the viewer through an interview with the girl's mother. So it's actually just emotional fluff. I suppose this sort of thing is called a "docudrama". Also it came out in June, not recently.

regarding suggestions for watching yt without ads ...

i don't have a yt account; never have, never will. there are some history channels that i appreciate, though, and i was sad when i started being bombarded by whitelist warnings. then i discovered that if i hover over a thumbnail, the muted video will play with captions. since i don't usually watch yt videos (i either have them playing in another tab while i'm working, or i listen to them as i'm falling asleep), i just unmute and let them play from the homepage.

on the rare occasion that i want to watch something, i unmute, turn off captions, and zoom in on the thumbnail.

That is the most nigger-rigged solution, I absolutely love it. I had a student who did that shit when he was trying to sneak youtube during class except instead of unmuting he turned on captions. Your level of spite is an inspiration.
