The game you were talking about when you started up the stream again is Arcanum of Steamworks and Magick Obscura, which is a really janky but incredibly based RPG.

They have a lot of cool little mechanics. For example during the game you can report your quests to the nice Gnome gentleman at the newspaper and he'll print out your various findings.

Except there's this one quest where you uncover that all the Half-Ogres in the game are the result of a systematic secret breeding program that breeds ogres with human woman (who all die in childbirth) on some island ran entirely by the Gnomes (who all have Half-Ogre servants). After shutting the whole operation down you have the option to drop off the concrete evidence to the nice Gnome gentleman at the newspaper. Except the newspaper never prints the story. If you ask the Gnome about it later he says he has no idea what you're talking about and that no one ever handed him any evidence.

If you can get past the jank the story is fantastic. Wish it would get a remake but it'll never happen.

For the leaf questions: Yes most university/college programs are filled with international students from India or China. It's been a major push for international students because they pay nearly double to triple tuition than Canadian students. Yes, some are stupid and do not understand basic social skills and some do smell. As for why is there so many it can be cheap labour (students have to work to stay in the country and some employers will give a decreased wage knowing that some students will take it) and it can be nepotism where an Indian will make big in a company and will hire or recommend more friends and family to work with them (and to get more power within the company)
