Any street legal EV you're going to buy is a computer controlled globalist nightmare of surveillance and remote operability that doesn't have any of the advantages you imagine it to. What you're describing is an e-bike or those Chinese electric OHV's which would have a survival/preper use.
This is just untrue. Even if it was you could always take the SIM card out. Low end cars don’t have navigation and remote features like that in the first place - mine doesn’t I know for a fact.
If you're planning on charging your tesla off grid I hope you either have your own hydro electric turbine or a fuel powered generator, doing it with solar/wind is a pipe dream. Basically everyone of those setups can't even run a stick welder for any useful amount of time. Let alone charge a tesla.
That’s not true as a rule either. Even a small off grid setup can happily charge an EV - they dial down to 2kW. So it might take a couple of days to charge from empty, but it’s free milage so why wouldn’t you.
At the end of the day it’s a pretty straightforward technology. If you have a situation where you can make use of it, it can save you a lot of money and hassle. If you choose to, great. If you choose not to because you believed some BS, that’s your loss.
