As far as I can see he isn't arguing in favor of being pro-censorship. So pointing out the pro-censorship weirdos doesn't really matter.

Nigga, "leftists" and "SJW" still control most institutions, media and public conversations. A site like kiwifarms can be yeeted off the Internet by corporations like Hurricane Electric who manage the entire Internet because it hosts some trannies fart fetish porn. I am calling the wholesome scavenger hunt! The Car Talk archive is uploaded and ready to download! Thanks for those of you that helped out, provided files from their own collections and for following along.

We've got nearly 40GB of the show and various supplementary materials archived for your enjoyment, totaling over 1,300 episodes and well-over a thousand hours of content. And that's not even half of their stuff, but it's all we could dig up at this point. If any more is found, myself or someone can update the files. Enjoy and share! Game Journalism is just as fucked as ever. SEO garbage, shit reviewers, full of paid shills.
The games industry now has a parasitic consultancy industry promoting stupid race/gender/politics shit that contracts with all the large publishers.
Predatory monetization and shitty quality control in new games is more widespread than ever.
The literal whos have all received accolades and been elevated by the media.
Forums of open discussion that facilitated gamergate like kotakuinaction or the 8chan boards have been locked down harder.

Gawker, and by extension Kotaku, were beat to shit because they fucked with Peter Thiel and Hulk Hogan, who used lawsuits to secure a win instead of gamergate's email/boycott/socialmedia/grifting strategy. And that only illustrates Josh's point.

Game "journalism" has always been a joke since the very beginning and nothing Gamergate did was relevating in any way outside to those who were foolish enough to believe it ever had integrity to begin with.. Go back to an archival of any game magazine you read as a kid and give it a good glance over again and you'll come out much differently processing it with an adult brain than how you consumed it as a kid.
Here's a quote from Trip Hawken (Founder of EA and head of 3DO at the time) to Gamepro in 2001 over a bad review. Basically he's saying what every other major publisher thinks, only difference is he said it open and brazenly rather than utilized an inbetween lawyer to send the message in a much more subtle manner.
If you disagree with me, you do so at your own peril...As you know, most game publishers are losing money and have cut back on advertising. Many magazines and webzines have perished. What seems needless to me is the often overly negative tone that gaming editorial takes.

this is a normal thing for a modern anticheat to do and this is not new at all
everyone who (somewhat) follows the technical side of game cheating knows this
the large anticheats excluding VAC have been known to literally install spyware and uploading your code/re project files to their servers once they think you're cheating
the twitter user complaining about this is a retard nigger looking for attention. zoomer skids will throw a shitfit once in a while about dumb obvious technical shit (think the spergouts over "league of legends is reading my window titles and i got banned for watching cheating housewife porn" or "discord is caching images and this means people can upload 'p to my pc")
