Holy hell, 2017?? Dude could have gotten a Bachelor’s and Master’s in that time. If he had a kid in 1st grade, they’d be getting ready for high school. Dealing with the legal system for 7 YEARS for “burning a torch” should be criminal itself.

Melanin-spiked bodysuits provide sun protection in Melwear concept

Finally, some good news for pasty Florida Men.

"Melwear is a speculative project imagining the future of sun protection"
"Different concentrations of melanin produce different colours"
I fucking love science. I heard it also blocks out chirping noises.

there's a good film called the lives of others that's about a stasi agent who realizes he's a monster when he's assigned to destroy an activist writer.
tldw- the effective way to destroy an idealist is the torture of isolation. the catharsis of open conflict is avoided so the spirit can be extinguished in private. imo systematic banning from social media is done to the same effect and it's a plus that onlookers who don't care can't understand what the big deal is.

I'll understand when kf gets sunset but I really hope it lasts longer. it's one of the only places left online that feels like the old internet.
Great fuckin movie. I got the chance to speak to some people who went through similar things in East Germany and the Czech Republic who went through similar experiences and it's terrifying.

They ARE paid too much. The only teachers that even come close to being able to bitch about pay are poor private school teachers, who don’t do it for money anyway.

There was a whole report recently about teacher pay and it’s much more median than people believe because of Jewish accounting tricks (the stated amount is dollars not total compensation, and teachers often have pensions and healthcare and shit that is taken out after pay for many other jobs).

Sure they don’t make Google tranny money, but basically nobody does.

Read and seethe
I've said this for years and everyone looks at me like I'm insane. The only people who make it in the teaching profession are people who are good at playing office politics and pedophiles. Usually they're some combination of the two. For what they deliver teachers are VASTLY over paid.

Help me out here, are you joking, or just retarded? The whole point of freedom of speech is for people to be able to say uncomfortable, unpopular things. You do not actually have it if everything is conditional on nobody getting too upset. You're effectively saying that true and honest freedom of speech aficionados hate everyone actually exercising the right too much.
Yes, freedom of speech exists to protect offensive minority opinions. The founding fathers lived through a petty monarchy that outlawed religious, political, and even academic materials. One of the great examples of freedom of speech is the satire, "A modest proposal" in which Jonathan Swift writes about a fictional government program that would use the meat of children born into poverty to alleviate starvation. It is, on the surface, a totally offensive and objectionable opinion. But it's of course a piece that eviscerates the countless dumb schemes to solve poverty. The responsible exercise of free speech is a careful undertaking by those who care about the outcomes, and those who have something important to say. Free speech is not an end in itself and the right is only abused and imperiled by people who irresponsibly use outrageous profanity, threats, and so on to upset their enemies.

Likewise, someone who negligently discharges firearms in public or pointlessly harms or kills others with a gun is not a 2nd amendment activist, even though they are, in some facile sense "exercising" their second amendment rights. These are, in all reality, the examples that we see every day in the news, repeatedly written into a narrative that is rolling back our liberty. That is why every serious person in the gun community is exceptionally dedicated to responsibility in gun ownership and use, because they understand fully that such an education is crucial for the longterm protection of gun rights. I believe the same level of care should be taken by those who wish to preserve the first amendment. Kiwifarms is only shitting the bed in this respect.

Sure, freedom of speech is threatened by the humorless wokies who would today cancel Jonathan Swift for baby eating. Or the less brainrotted way to see it, the corporations in control of the internet who do not want to risk an advertisement showing up next to anything that could be in some way controversial. These people censored out the word "sucks" in Beavis and Butthead, and I get it. It's tiresome. But ultimately the types of responses I have received here, with the retarded Daniel Larson mindset of using tactical slurs, are in fact a critical and necessary part of that same threat. It's irresponsible, childish, and worst of all it expresses nothing of importance or necessity. Rather than advancing liberty it destroys it. This website is perpetually used as an example with which to create new precedents in censorship. I do not think you need the citations to remember such recent history. And it is historic. The negligent and dumb behavior here may justify decades or even centuries of control over the internet. It's no wonder Null is on the verge of lowtaxing himself. I could not live with myself if I had such a legacy.

I know what you are, and what this community is. You do not love freedom, you hate it. Using speech as a weapon to harm others, especially those who you believe have become too free, is a despicable abuse of liberty.

Good news for Null if he can afford Tennessee.

But, Florida is looking good too:

Buddy could have done undergrad and law school in the time they've taken to harass him about a yard ordinament. Judge should declare a directed verdict to keep the prosecutor from refilling.

Telling troons who want to dress up like demons and read to children that they're abominations who deserve whatever God has coming for them is a moral good.

Eviscerating the propagandized paradigm that the United States has and always will be the ONLY moral force for good in this world is a moral good.

Doxxing and reporting zoophiles who convince minors to have sex with baby monkeys is a moral good.

You start off arguing that free speech is meant to protect minority opinions, but then claim our opinions are a step too far. You're a snake repeating the dragon's narrative and you don't even realize it.

You cannot violate another persons rights with words, words don't leave you bleeding out in a gutter. Words can only hurt fee fees, cause cognitive dissonance .... and then get you banned from Twitter.

It's funny that you bring up the 2nd amendment because I was tempted to do the same in order to dispute your prior post. You wish to treat the 1st like the 2nd but it's not. There are existing laws against murder, you cannot go around playing Yosemite Sam and firing your pistols at anything and everything. With the 2nd the intent is that you own them and ideally never have to use them for more than hunting/vermin control. They are there in case of war, disaster, criminality, tyranny, to hedge your bets against failures of the state essentially. Speech doesn't have a use condition, it's integral to the natural state of humanity, in the case of politics it's purpose is to literally drive it and make known failures of the state before they grow perilous. A gun is useless until the day it is needed, if you take that mentality with speech you have silence followed by state imposed silence. The founders knew full well that words are not actions, words are not violence, words are ideas, descriptions, concepts.

The leftist is on a never ending quest to control politics through language (and any other means they can really). You can watch clinical terms like 'retard' be transformed into ban-able slurs in real time. They will find something to be upset over, make up some perceived transgression to use as their caucus belli. The only way to satisfy them is to join them. You can tame down and self censor your speech all you like but in the end that just becomes the new baseline. You can argue your point with masterful eloquence befitting a royal court and it won't matter because they will eventually invent enough pronouns and arbitrary rules to trip you up. It's not about the words, it's about the power.

What aspects of KF free speech do you think ought to be changed?
Should they stop archiving people being retards?
Stop using naughty words?
Stop voicing a worldview outside the overton window?

To the extent that your speech=firearms analogy is correct, we are actively being shot at right now. Right this moment.
Are not allowed to shoot back?
Archiving other people's intellectual property is pretty despicable, especially when they are too stupid or vulnerable to defend themselves. For example, kingcobrajfs probably deserves to make a living from his videos, but he is having all his income absorbed by non-transformative roundup channels and other "archive" channels. I do love remixing, discussing, and most reaction type lolcow media generally. It's fun and harmless, and I find outsider art is often more interesting than mainstream or high art.

As for the naughty words and minority opinions expressed here, they are themselves not at issue in the least. The major issue arises when speech is used to do real and persistent harm to others, or to society in general. This is something best decided on a case by case basis rather than by strict universal rules. For things like distributing mass shooting videos and other similar materials, it's pretty clear that this stuff is irresponsible, even if it is protected by law. It's this carelessness and irresponsibility which endangers freedom of speech, rather than any specific words or viewpoints. Null makes it explicit that doing harm is often the goal here, he refers to himself as a speech terrorist. This is too obvious, I think, and explaining it risks falling into your dumb trap. It is little wonder you have resorted to straining analogies past the breaking point and other similarly ignorant rhetoric. You both defend harmful speech by saying it is just words and opinions, and yet you are also living in mortal fear of words and opinions.
