I must confess my sins of massive and unpleasant fedora tipping in the past. You can have respect for antiquity and appreciation for what you have been given without dogmatic adherence to an ancient creed. I realized it as I was getting more into mythology, and I realized that the stories and lessons imparted by ancient Norse myth were just that - stories and lessons. If Christian mythology was presented the same way then I feel I would have recognized it sooner. But to certain kinds of people, it is ridiculous to suggest that Jesus literally died and rose from the dead in order to demonstrate god's forgiveness for humanity's sins, in the same way that it would be ridiculous to suggest to a Christian that Odin was literally hung from the world tree and sacrificed to himself in order to journey through the underworld and learn the secrets of the universe so that he could rule over all the gods.
They're just stories, and what you take from them is up to you.

It is useful to read it as a fiction because there are themes, messages, and subtexts put there by an overarching sentient author. However it is also very literal where it is intended to be.
1 Corinthians 15:14-23

I've found every literary analysis of the Bible as fiction to be tenuous at best. Now there are certain books of the Bible like Jonah that are written in the genre of satire for example, but on the whole it was not written as fiction. The better literary analysis I've seen have been when the Bible is treated as self-help or as a manual of behavior and ritual.

But do you have any idea what kinds of kids teachers within that age range have dealt with for their entire careers? Has someone already pointed out that Mersh always strokes out when he smokes that gay vape of his? He coughs like a cancer patient when he does that, too. Even insane people would just stop smoking whatever elephant shit he puts in there if they have such a health scare, so I assume he actually uses his mini-strokes for attention.
