I think it's partly hacks scared they won't be able to shill their furry porn if perverts can generate it for free, but I'm certain 99% of the backlash comes from the internet hivemind deciding AI is bad so therefore AI is bad; no individual thought or nuance allowed.
There are definitely bad things that will come from AI --retarded corporations will 100% attempt to replace employees, and it will be a hilarious disaster-- but there is also so much cool stuff it's already produced that anyone declaring it an unambiguous evil, end of discussion, is a braindead retard without a single original thought of their own.

When the art ai stuff first came out I saw a lot of artists who did use it as a tool to get inspired with. They tested out different compositions and moods and lighting using the ai and then used that inspiration to draw their own composition. You can imagine how well the art community took it. The comments were insane and the artist (creatures with no real backbone) put out an apology. I thought it was a smart usage. Sad what herd mentality can do.

Personally I think worrying about the weather is a retard move. 8000 years ago Canada was a glacier and Utah/Arizona was a lush grassland filled with lakes and rivers. There was no desert in the west. Shit changes, even if it changes faster who cares, we are up to the challenge - or if we aren't we'll go extinct like a bunch of Native Americans did when their home turned into a desert.
There's no reason an asteroid can't hit us tomorrow and kill 99.9999% of life and bury all the evil carbon again for another 100 million years. I guess that's just part of the cycle though.
Personally I think we're still at borderline starvation levels of carbon and we need to release more - much more. We can't let the precious Bharats die! They're already eating slop, what will they do if we go back to 1800s levels of CO2?

Most of the spergs I've ever worked with all frontloaded their first meeting with 'I have X, sorry; let me know if it's annoying'. So the whole being proud of having some sort of mental disability to me is a massive red flag that you don't actually have that condition.

I've had two completely different people I spoke to in the last month apologize for being "ADHD" mid-convseration but they were just mildly talkative. There was no issue keeping a coherent line of thought. Caroline Farrow, who I spoke with on podcast, is probably a much better example of "sorry, I'm ADHD" because she will change topics rapidly and without pause if you don't try to keep her focused. Usually when I interview people I just let them say as much as they want and go over it on reply, but with her I had to learn mid-discussion that you have to interrupt her.

"I have ADHD/Autism" is basically an excuse many grown adults use to act like children and not even attempt to adhere to social norms or be a productive member of society. It also gives them bonus points at work (if they do work) for not having to put in effort because telling them to not be lazy is now "discrimination". Most people who claim these disorders don't even have them. It's also promoted to be cool by mainstream media like Big Bang Theory portraying autistic men as a little bit socially awkward geniuses instead of sexpest freaks who rape their elderly mothers.

ADHD is a super common one to get improperly diagnosed. My girlfriend actually has it and it's not fun or funny or 'le quirky!' Like so many fags say it is. She's a very intelligent girl; but has a real rough time actually knuckling down and doing the shit she needs to get done. It fristrates the hell out of her and yeah, I hate doing it but sometimes you have to wrestle the conversation to where it needs to go.

I got improperly diagnosed with it as a kid because I refused to do homework if I could pass the tests without it. Long term exposure to amphetamine starting at 13yo does not work out well for the brain. Now I min/max dopamine mining and shitpost on the Internet.
