@Null don't worry about getting the country of Origin for the STEN submachine gun wrong because the STEN is really just a worse copy of the MP28, II submachine gun.

The devolution of it went as follows:

MP 28, II
The original. The design originates from the WW1 vintage MP18/I. Notice the flawless machinework and nice finish.


Lancester Machine Carbine MkI
The first british copy. Notice the stupid nomenclature, the brass magwell for no reason, the overly long 50 round mag that throws the weapons balance off and the useless bayonet lug because british gun designers have brain worms.

STEN Mk1-3 I'm gonna throw all the STEN marks together in one entry because they're basically all the same. They're Lancasters stripped of every part that wasn't needed to ensure the gun won't explode when you pull the trigger. The stock designs can vary on the first 2 Mks.

Mk1
The first iteration still had some attempt at preserving ergonomics built into the design but the ordnance board deemed it "too expensive" since the brits were getting their asses handed to them at the time.


Mk1*
The first STEN with the iconic look everybody is familiar with. This one still has the rifle style front sights though unlike the later Mk2. The barrel is also not as easy to detach which is one of the main reasons it got supplanted.

Mk2
The most produced and most iconic version. The barrel can be taken off easily for maintenance or in order to put an internally suppressed barrel onto the gun for covert missions. 2,6 Million were produced in total.


Mk3
This is a rolled sheet steel version made by the Lines Bros. company which manufactured childrens toys before the war. The gun was not really repairable on an armorer level since the action and barrel were permanently attached to eachother but the manufacturing method was so efficient they still built almost a million of them. You just tossed them after the barrel was shot out and got yourself a new one.

The Mk4 designation was kept in reserve for a paratrooper specific version of the STEN but ended up never getting used.


Mk5
After the US saved their asses the British started getting confident again with the Mk5. As you can see it has a proper wooden stock and a pistol grip. They even brought the useless stupid bayonet back. This version was mostly used by elite units and officers.

The PPS 43 was even better because it was cheaper to produce and it had a double feed magazine unlike the grease gun.

Edit: This is really living in my head. There's a jeet who works at a hotel saying the westerners always smell so nice. I try listening while doing things, but when I close my phone's screen the video stops after a few seconds. And having the screen on means my pocket fabric starts giving random input and eventually fucks something up.

I tried downloading the vids, but I cant find them on my phone after it says theyre downloaded, and vids it claims to have downloaded are no better than the others for listenability.

I just download from the website and watch them in VLC.
No idea if iOS has the same as Android VLC, but Android has a "Listen as music" which makes it ignore the screen turning off.

Brave on mobile lets you play videos with the screen off, works on jewtube too and has a built in adblock.
