"Mad at the Internet" - a/k/a My Psychotherapy Sessions

I'm fully planning on hosting this on a site which shouldn't be raped by laws when done with the initial batch. Compression is a bitch and takes time but when I'm happy with it - nothing will stop me. I don't give a shit anymore - we need our words out there.
Take a look at honeycomb technology hosted by @davids877, old guard networking guy.

It's only transcriptions, but it's a pretty complete manifest of every stream including links to multiple sources for each one.
Either way, rest assured that we are no longer in the early days where not enough people cared to preserve the streams promptly. I don't think we will ever have a lost stream ever again.
The bounty still stands for Life is Strange 2-4 by the way.

Personally I keep a copy of every thing I've downloaded for the transcription project. But I can't afford the bandwidth if I were to publish the videos. Currently around 5TB and 2600 files, which I guess is an average of 5 copies of each 'episode'.

And I'm reminded I meant to get all the Internet Archive links folded in before Null's return. Oh well.

I've alter my archiving to including description as well as thumbnails. its kinda a PITA but whatever, don't care. Fuck copy right and people who report a random stream.

I'm very close myself. Currently growing into the 4TB range and there are copies that need to be cycled out, just going for top quality before I attempt to make them sizeable and affordable. Check Josh's tech thread for a certain host that can't give a shit about DCMA - it's a fucking war out here. Self hosting works too but have fiber and don't care about getting doxed and you win, assuming you don't go over bandwidth.

Edit: After bullshit in life, loving this site, loving MATI - nothing will stop me from hosting archived content assuming I don't get put in jail. Lets fucking kill it kiwi bros - we aren't the enemy.

Anything that contains the word Life. I'll verify after a bit.

Maybe this is a dumb idea, but on the subject of compression...have you thought about making almost uselessly compressed versions of all of them, where you can barely make out what's going on, just for the sake of staying agile and making them easy to pass around or upload to random sites with low storage limits? A "better than nothing" archive.

Maybe along with a concatenated text file of every transcription from the honeycomb site.

You know, there's a zip file containing all the metadata, text and raw JSON from the transcribulator2000 (aka whisperx) if you go to https://honeycomb.technology/mati/ and download the zip. Although I did just realize I forgot to add a marker for which underlying file/link is the canonical file for the transcription. Sigh.

That was a bad way to put it, I meant "Takes more than a glance to pick out". I'm not a freaking wordsmith.
It's also a bad idea to underestimate your adversary.
I'm happy to ditch the AGP/HSTS categories alltogether and just use a superclass of "pervert".
Thanks for the insight!
bro, I gave you RETARD

Also, Markiplier predicted it was a scam four years ago:
I really admire this. Watch a mainstream youtuber, remember a thing. Clip it. You're a 3.5K small-time channel, but because you remembered thing that is now relevant, putting the clip out there gets you a cool 3 and a half million views. Very aspirational. Hope I can cash in on a "Josh was right 5 years ago" clip like this someday, then superchat him in thanks.

Something worth mentioning from this year.

The Pop tart bowl, this didn't just happen in America, this happened in a post 9/11 America, a post housing crisis America, a post covid America, a post Hillary clinton America. No matter how much pain and tragedy this great country goes through we will heal and we will do great things.

Why are you posting a pop tarts commercial?
Viral marketing is a cancer.

Technology has advanced to where you can SMASH and SLAM audio down to small sizes and have it still be very listenable. Without getting into the really weird codecs, Opus is excellent for podcasts/mostly voice content. Here's November 29ths MATI compressed into 11.3mb with some rudimentary tuning:

Generated via:
Bash:
ffmpeg -i MATI.mp4 -c:a libopus -b:a 16k -frame_duration 60 -application voip -ac 1 mati.opus
I'm sure you can squeeze out even more quality with some more arguments, but it would be severely diminishing returns.

Viral marketing is a cancer.
It was not viral marketing. It was a pop tart ad that was interrupted by football playing. It was shockingly bad and is the future of college football. They gotta get the money now that they're paying the players.

Unless you're getting paid by Kelloggs, sharing a pop tart commercial is cattle behavior.
It's viral marketing because it designed for idiots to do it for free. It's bad enough that we're even discussing this. Anyone posting adverts here is a faggot.

It is astounding how much money they are making in college ball and can't afford to pay the young negro enough to get his fent... It's fucking shameful, and I'm glad this era of literal slavery is over. Not even being that ironic college sports is a retarded scam.

Also there wasn't anything even funny in that advertisement

Kellogg's sponsoring a bowl game and making their breakfast pastry an annoyingly large part of it isn't viral marketing tho. Are you feeling ok? The holiday times can be quite stressful, I know. Might I suggest you take an Aleve? My doctor recommends it as the best pain reliever that doesn't require a prescription
Or maybe you're just hangry? Might I suggest some delicious pan pizza from Pizza Hut? You've not seen pizza like a Pizza Hut pizza.
I think that sounds stupendous and I'll kick back with a belly full of deep dish delight, two little yellow pills, and get lost in some awesome tunes!
