Every time I have seen a large fire there were always "fire fighters" there. Very suspicious

never saw the shows, read the book until like book 10. it felt like he ran out of ideas after a while because he wanted to arbitrarily get to book 13 for the memes, and the books kept getting longer and longer. i looked up the synopsis at some point and apparently there's weird implied rape towards the end. felt kind of inappropriate for a kid's series.

edit: for sure the grim grotto is the one I got stopped at.

I was listening to a 2020 MATI while I was flying, in between ATC yelling at me to turn left and not run into that 737. Anyway it was interesting that Null was talking about Section 230. But also he said how he was depressed about talking to Americans when he visited the US.

I don't want to go back to the U.S. I really hate the U.S. I get very depressed when I'm in the U.S. I don't know what it is. Just walking around and seeing people and talking to people there just makes me fucking sad.
So, Null, you're back in the US, are you depressed?

the oppressive, malignant atmosphere isn't as bad as I remember but I've only been here during Trump's admin. If we get something like a president kamala i imagine it will be a lot less free feeling.

it's hard to explain but in foreign countries i know nobody gives a shit about me. they don't care about american internet. here, the federal government very much does care about fucking with people and ruining lives.

Nowhere near the raw nightmare content of animorphs, though that's already been talked about to death by like anyone who glances into those fucking things beyond the photoshop covers and goofy tv show/pokemon bootleg game.

I don't think I finished a lot of these multi-book long series back when they were big when i was a kid. IIRC the reason i didn't get around to finishing the series of unfortunate events shit was because a friend stole the current one I had at the time and then I got demotivated to get a new copy. And then the rest of the books came out. I can't remember what one it was, maybe 4-7 in number as a wide yet vaguely tight enough space. Maybe I'll go back and check things out sometime who knows.

Buy a box of a few hundred shotgun shells and you will feel better.

Hey, the movie for Series of Unfortunate Events is currently under zero copyright protection because Netflix only has rights to the show and Paramount doesn't hold the rights to the movie any more, which means there's an upload of it on Youtube with very little in terms of tampering with quality.
(The archive is taking awhile)

You say this but then the video is clearly "unavailable for playback off youtube due to copyright". :story:

The old direct to video anime sonic movie was in legal limbo for years in a way where there were several HD uploads and rips of it until some JP exclusive streaming service got it on at which point every upload and a lot of vids using clips of the movie got taken down. Some reuploads have happened since but the only "HD" one that comes up now is a very smeary gross ai upscale version. Strange isn't it? rRRRRRRR!

It upsets me how children entertainment has become so poor.
How could someone expect children who grows up on shit to then go forth and change the world for the better?
The only thing an upbringing like that can inspire is rage.

Books are no exception to this.
You don't hear much of anything about books anymore because all the accolades are for being a faggot or being black and selling some copies.
Making a good book isn't worth much.

That could just be Youtube being weird about it. It's not one of those "watch for free with ads" official uploads. Fun to reminisce about books I used to read as a kid. Shame that the Artemis Fowl movie wasn't very good.

Have you not seen the shit Brazil is trying to do?

Say what you want about America at least we have the 1st Amendment on paper on a founding document. The founding fathers were smart enough to realize that "Yeah this speech shit is so fucking important we're putting it in the first god damn spot on the basis for our ENTIRE GOVERNMENT" In other countries it's so fucking wishy washy and easily able to be fucked with. You got the faggots in the UK, and now that knock off Palpatine in Brazil wiping their ass with the idea of free speech. Pretty sure the Aussies are doing the same shit too.

Part of it is the people perception of it, they have allowed the enshittification of children media because "its for kids of course it has to be empty, loud, obnoxious ADHD inducing crap" any time there's a new children entertaiment piece being a movie or whatever and someone says "hmm thats odd" some normie will go "but is for kids so is fine" this has also allowed the weirdos that have no love for the medium of animation and storytelling to start injecting their fetishes into them and people dont bat an eye about it because "its for kids".

Autism hasnt help either because they just make that anyone that that points out any of this gets lumped with the manchildren retards.

I remember having a demo for some animorphs game on Windows ME and it barely worked and always froze at the same spot. I would just keep trying it and never get a different result.

I bullied my wife about watching anime until she canceled the streaming service she used for it. Best decision I've ever made.

My wife viciously hates anime. Avatar the last air bender is the only anime styled thing she likes. Weebs seem to get ass mad when you call it anime so that's extra funny. She doesn't like the Korra show though
