Not sure if this will interest Null, but Utah is going to execute a death row inmate by firing squad in September. This is because until 2004 firing squad execution was still legal in Utah and that's the way he chose to go and it just took this long. He's so old now he has dementia and is wheelchair bound. This may very well be the last firing squad execution in the US.

Firing squad is legal here, there was a time where it wasn't, but it was reinstated. Yes the grandfather clause exists. Likely he's getting shot because it's an available option already

Menzies, when he was sentenced to death more than 40 years ago for the murder of Maurine Hunsaker, chose to die by firing squad. Menzies was convicted of the murder in 1988, after he kidnapped Hunsaker, a 26-year-old gas station clerk, and took her up Big Cottonwood Canyon where she was later found tied to a tree with her throat slashed.

An autopsy report showed that Hunsaker died as a result of ligature strangulation; and the slit wound had a contributory effect on her death.

He should be tied to a tree, garroted, and have his throat slashed, obviously.

For actually eating a full bar, I don't want 100%, but just nibbling on a couple nibs satisfies the desire for strong flavor without calories. I'll eat maybe half a 95% bar. I like the little squares.

If you look on a map of the US designed to include natural disasters, most of the state of Montana is ideal for holing up as a survivalist. It has no earthquake faults, is not in Tornado Alley, &c. I remember doing this a few years ago and realizing why militias love the state.

...I once drank water mixed with pure unsweetened cocoa powder for a month as part of a liver cleanse for dry skin. Apparently the high fat content in the cocoa powder was meant to bind to the released toxins? IDK, the cleanse didn't work so ¯\_ (ツ)_/¯

Montana is getting flooded by Californians and Texans who are sick of those states and have enough money for real estate in places like Bozeman, Missoula, Kalispell, etc. Montana is still fucking awesome and there are small enclave communities with traditional values once you get deep into the state, but Colorado is the only state in the Rocky Mountain region that has changed more drastically than Montana in the past decade. It’s not the Kaczynski/militiaman fantasy it used to be.

I have 0 preconceptions on the state. Given my personal life, I have found that whenever it comes time to buy a house, either Texas or Wyoming will be the 2 states to look at whenever the time comes. I simply wanted to know what's the deal with the chud fantasies.

I never said it was. I merely pointed out that it is ideal for preppers in response to the question why it might be a draw. Ever since the California flight circa covid/BLM, it has been off my personal list.

He is definitely up there as far as competition. Rackets bodycam is a variable for the second half of the year but I will put out some outside competition for lolcow of the year. Chantal is in Syria right now which is a way bigger variable that could happen. I don't think Amberlynn can do anything from gorl world to claw back on anything. Idubzzz divorce would throw some crazy shit in here. A Patrick Tomlinson meltdown if Milwaukee wins the lolsuit Fatrick filed along with blackie actually doing something outside of posting on bluesky could invoke something funny. And don't count out the Ralphamale.
