Doing your own brakes is literally the second easiest regular service you do on your car that the staff won't do for you, especially disc brakes, and there's some fairly large car based animes. I know very little about anime, but even just having been around people who talk about it occasionally it's definitely a thing. If you know nothing about either subject, why bother opining?

If you're starting a company, investors want to hear that you'll be making $100m/yr in five years, or you get zero. If you're at a big, sick company, bleeding after decades of mismanagement, they want to hear you can turn it around and become #1 in the industry with 80% market share within 5 years.

The fascinating thing to me is studios becoming victims of their own rapid success. Blizzard is always the immediate example. Had World of Warcraft been merely a popular game instead of a whole phenomenon I’m certain they would have kept producing cool games every few years. Instead it took forever for StarCraft 2 to release and Blizzard never figured out how to make it a great game. Now Blizzard feels like relic.

The only thing I've seen of kojima being good was the Playable trailer thing he did. Death stranding 1&2 just seems like Ready player one in VG format. Just memes and 'oh I like this so I'll put it in this game' and "eastereggs" which aren't Easter eggs when you have to find them for a mission to work. "Member when guys! Memember! Member when this thing used to be popular!"
