Must be because they're so open minded.
It amazed me that I wasn't IP banned for shitposting in the fairly serious subs but for making a Caesar joke about political violence.

@Null the review of the Red Hood comic where you wonder why BATMAN could possibly be in a RED HOOD comic :story:

Nigga, Red Hood is a former Robin (that's Batman's sidekick) turned bitter and vengeful after Joker tortured him or someshit. I don't even know, but I know he's like part of the "Bat Family," and the reason you've never heard that term is that the writers just can't get as much traction with Nightwing, Batgirl, Batwoman, Dick (yes, really Dick), etc as they can with Batman.

The reason the comic has to be $80 is cause only like 200 of the sweatiest, geekiest comic-book-guys care about whatever convoluted story-line the Bat Family finds itself in at whatever moment.

I don't understand what the point of reviewing it was besides pointing out that it was written by Yung Hung Tranni (한국인) and Fat Wang Gook (한국인). Also, the letters are too small to read.

I'm enjoying Butch Killigan thanks to the comic reviews, though.

I laughed really hard at the panel where Poncho says "you've been drinking?" and we see about 500 empty cans of beer in Butch's backseat. This is right after he finishes ranting about how he's the city's protector lol.

Why don't I give a comic recommendation if I'm so smart? Well, I can only hope that you asked because I'm reading The Punisher Meets Archie and it's the funniest thing I've ever seen in my life.

Robin 1 was Dick Greyson who eventually went off on his own and adopted the Nightwing identity, Robin 2 was Jason Todd who was unpopular with readers so they had the Joker torture and murder him, then brought him back as the Red Hood, Robin 3 was Tim Drake who changed to the Red Robin so they could have another main Robin, and then there’s Damian Wayne who I think is the current Robin and is the son of Bruce and Talia al Ghul. There was also a girl Robin in there somewhere I’m pretty sure but those are the main ones I remember, it’s been over a decade since I paid any attention to it all.

You're probably thinking of Carrie Kelley from The Dark Knight Returns parts 1 & 2! Those are amazing comics and movies, far above capeshit.

I... I think I need to re-watch them because I forgot about the lady with the swastika pasties.

Guess it's been so long that I can enjoy the movies afresh.

@Targeted Individual your post is really interesting to me, I think for reasons we all know already, but sometimes just seeing it confirmed in a specific case kind of adds to the gut feeling.

Redditers claim to be open minded and that they go to a bunch of places, experience various cultures, so on and so forth.

The Farms is considered closed minded, racist, won't tolerate or experience other cultures.

I went to both of the reddit threads for your post (spaceking and grimdank), expanded all the comments, and couldn't find a single instance of 'kiwi' or 'farms'. I see them debating back and forth what your intentions are, but they have no idea that you could exist elsewhere. They can't conceive of some internet culture existing somewhere else. You're even using the same username but it never occurs to them to check it out and see if you post anywhere else. They're content to exist within the reddit bubble.

Meanwhile, on the farms, I constantly see collections of information from obscure parts of the internet, from cultures I never even knew existed. I can't remember the name off the top of my head but Josh has a black women forum he goes to and shows off on MATI segments sometimes. Literally some of the funniest shit ever, but you can also tell it's their actual culture and beliefs. The farms is almost an aggregator of cultures in a way. I didn't think about it before posting this but I remember seeing Null post about trying to incubate more of the international boards/threads.

TL;DR the farms is the shit, if you want to know what's happening with various cultures, you're better off reading random threads here than the NYT or some other propaganda.
Once again racists are somehow more diverse and inclusive than the actual inclusive people, is nuts!

I got (shadow)banned multiple times and had my threads locked for the dumbest reasons. The Farms truly is one of the last bastions of free speech and I'm saying it without a hint of irony. The Internet is gettting worse by the year and just a few years ago I wasn't even suspecting it would be that way. Goddamn it.

A story for the ages!

"South Korea’s government may have permanently lost 858TB of information after a crucial hard drive was destroyed in a fire at a data center in Daejeon."

Apparently the entire database of SK government was kept in one fucking data center with no back ups.
Felt MATI worthy.
Guess the South Korean government IT doesn't have a basic 3-2-1 back up policy. It is a shock that they did not adopt a similar system to that used by the IRS and other companies for archiving data which is to use magnetic tape storage. The main reason cited why magnetic tape is still used is its low cost and longevity (drives are rated for 30 years). A quick search and holy hell it is cheap a 45 TB cartridge for ~$100. The interface for these drives on the other hand cost significantly more.

So just an update but my computer rebuild has been a total and complete disaster. I have hit every single problem point imaginable and today after getting everything working 100% I racked the device and rebooted to no post.

On the motherboard it is flickering between CPU and DRAM. This means that either display is not initiating or memory is not working. I have painstakingly tested every card one at a time, removed the GPU, reset CMOS, and tested both HDMI and display ports on the motherboard itself. Nothing works. I don't know what changed to make it stop working. I'm close to assuming all four RAM sticks have gone bad which I can't test because I don't have spares and I can't even upgrade because they're very recent.

This issue with dram is the first issue I encountered and I feel I've been set back to square one. I've spent four full days on this and I'm very tired. If I can't get it working tonight I can't prep tomorrow and I can't stream. I'm so frustrated I'm literally about to drop it off at the shop and take an impromptu drive to Alaska or some shit. I absolutely despise working on computers at every single level. There is not a single element from hardware to user interface I enjoy anymore.
