The point of DLive is for DLive to make shekels.
They were more free for like a day after Ralph used it, then they introduced some BS hate speech policy.

Not really, when the Killstream moved, they got warned off day two; they changed their ToS specifically to shake them away from the site. The site is just another draconian Twitch competitor to soak up some easy money and then fuck off when interest dies out.

So, they're basically Twitch, but with cryptominers? I don't even know what the point is, then.

The point is easy money. They were mining (not their own linocoin, which isn't a real cryptocurrency, but something else) on peoples machines until they got larger investments, which they then used to court PewDiePie. They're going to ride this out, and when it fizzles they'll shutter. Just like stream.me with Keemstar or Vid.me with whoever they got.

I don't know man, what the fuck else was riding up those GPU usages into 70+% for anyone using the site? My guess is that they started with the crypto mining until they got solid investment, then stopped. It's what I'd do if I was a group of Turkish and Chinese web developers eating out of trashcans while trying to build a site. It's not like the people behind the project are any less shifty either.

No. That is a marketing gimmick. Their TOS is exactly the same as Twitch. They talk about blockchain, but the entire service is centralised. It is all bollocks.
