Okay so honest question, and I'm not trying to be a dickhead with this so bear with me:

How do we identify hosts? And how do we know when it's been transferred?

This is important research, and I value your opinion.

The jump from Chris to Ralph happened as Chris was being arrested (ie, the potential for future content dropped off). The proposed jump from Ralph to Fuentes happened as Fuentes cut Ralph off, leading to Ralph's crusade against AF (ie, Ralph stopped being as much of a serial fuckup and regained some goodwill from the a-logs).

A lolcow having a down-tick in activity / misfortune could be indicative of the demon leaving them for a new host, though I'd argue this needs to be paired with the cow being in relatively close proximity to another lolcow that has great potential for future content (Ralph in mid-2021, Nick right now), as well as the proposed proximity to a parking lot.

I'd say a sign of possession is simply that their worst traits become magnified. Ralph was already a revenge pornographer when he obtained Sonichu, but he went off the rails even harder right after.

I'm of the opinion that there are possibly multiple hosts for the Sonichu demon at the moment all people who have interacted with Ralph, all people whose behavior and mental state seems to have undergone some kind of shift for the worse and self destructive, Fuentes, Rekieta, and Godwinson are 3 that most spring to mind.

I understand this is the absolute worst case scenario (best case I suppose for Farmers, perhaps) that the Sonichu demon has somehow gained the power to... bifurcate itself from close and prolonged contact with Ralphs Gunt.
This could be a defense mechanism the demon has developed to prevent it from being easily traced and exorcized, spread out among multiple hosts it gains potentially more energy and is harder to isolate, or it could somehow be multiplying, given the large supply of lolcows to feed off in the Sektur.

I'm just impressed Ralph managed to shake it off, it think it confirms that when the demon senses the potential for content being threatened (Chris's imminent arrest, Ralph was basically months if not weeks away from overdosing) it moves to the next viable target.

I've been looking through the Goetia, the Lemegeton ( Lesser Key of Solomon) and the Pseudomonarchia Daemonium to try and figure what we are dealing with, and there are three that immediately spring to mind, Agares, a demon that finds pleasure in immorality and attracts runaways, Ashtaroth, a particularly nasty one mentioned in the Clavicae, that seduces by means of vanity and laziness, and Andras, an even nastier and more dangerous one that sows discord among people.
It's been a while since I read this stuff and I've forgotten a lot of it, but it's interesting to see demons from actual Grimoires that match the traits that Sonichu displays.
I'm also gonna stop there for today, because this is starting to give me the legitimate creeps.
