Survival of the Fittest, Recurring Nightmare, and Living Death might be my favorite cards of all time.

Necropotence, Hymn to Tourach, and a heavy fondness for Rest in Peace + Helm of Obedience combo, that weird wording on HoO makes it devious as fuck.

And for when you absolutely must win the game with 9 mana and aren't in green or red? Expropriate.

You can kinda tell when each of us played the most just by the cards we picked I bet.

Ice age for me, Rath cycle for you.

I started in fate reforged here, though mizzix has awoken me to spellslinger

I actually started in Masques. Haven't played much since 2012, though. I do have a soft spot for spellshapers.

I started in Invasion, I still have the first rare I ever opened it is in an EDH deck currently.

I probably still have my first, a 4th Edition Armageddon somewhere. It's probably dirty as fuck and beat to shit though. Reasonably sure I still have my first Demonic Tutor too, a revised one that I got for a Chronicles Akron Legionaire and some shitty enchantment.

<<OOC>> Borrowed friend's cards and played way back in the Ice Age onward days. (ah fun times of 20 player games without EDH even existing) I bought some of the ancillary products like Duel Decks (loved those) for awhile. I tried getting into it a bit during Lorwyn - Alara but ultimately gave up. First real effort at standard was Innistrad. LOVED Innistrad (hey, tribes are my jam). Never really gone back to it though Eldraine was sorely tempting. (Wish an Innistrad set had released close to Eldraine so I could finally get the matches of my dreams: knights or fey vs werewolves or vampires or zombies or...)

Almost everybody loves OG Innistrad especially as a limited format and yeah crazy long multiplayer games at lunch breaks in HS is something I def remember. Pre-EDH as well.

so there is a scam going around according to rudy.

some bullshittery with partial shares...

Rudy is a faggot.

Edit : Also Both Innistrad Blocks were ass, people only remember it fondly because Snapcaster Mage (Which wasn't even really an Innistrad deck, Snapcaster was an Invitational Card)

The "signature" effect of the Block has seen more success in Ixalan than it did in it's home block.

We talked about it upthread already.

Here's the instigating incident: https://www.channelfireball.com/all...-year-old-packs-legends-antiquities-and-more/
And here's the reddit thread going into more detail about the shadiness of this whole thing: https://www.reddit.com/r/magicTCG/comments/guy997/mythic_markets_is_even_worse_than_you_think/
tl;dr it's basically a ponzi scheme for magic cards where you buy shares of individual cards with no guarantees that you'll ever get anything in return. The whole thing is super shady especially since LSV is a shareholder in the company (something he failed to disclose in the initial video, by accident I'm sure) and it's basically known at this point that CFB is circling the drain and on the way out.

The only question is whether Luis knew what the fuck he was doing when he joined, apparently the CEO of "Mythic Markets" is also the head of CFB.

Well Dooh... his wife looks like a frog with giant fake tits,,,

He has to retarded to not understand that this is not just super shady but quite possible highly illegal.

That's fair, especially after he got crucified on Twitter for it.

I guess a better question is whether he's profiting directly or if the CFB CEO is forcing him into it-that website is going under and supporting his manager's pet scam is a great way to protect his job.

They do? how is this legal?
*Shrug* I dunno, I remember The Starting 9 Guys talk about it a few months ago and how one of the Hosts spent 300 Dollars in one night on it, also how stupid and asinine it is.

Edit : And how said host was going to continue to spend money on it despite not even caring about baseball cards.

I realy dont understand how anyboy involved can think this is a good idea.. Its a scam.

You sure those werent actual fractual shares?

If LSV is doing what I think he is, you buy into the pack for a certain price and He sends you the pack. I dunno the details because quite frankly what I heard sounds stupid as fuck, of course when I first heard of it happening with baseball cards my first thought "It is only a matter of time before some dope does it with MTG cards."

It quite frankly screams to me of "Stupid twitter and reddit drama about people getting butthurt that they didn't think of it first."

Of course..I like LSV as a player..but CFB is an awful store and always has been so them having shady practices is not surprising (If you want Shady look at their god damn buy list once in a while)

Rudy made a slideshow--- It sounds SUPER Scammy... they are selling some strange sort of subscribtion and call it Fractual share...

That requires me to watch Rudy, the MTG Finance Community manages to outdo the MTG SJW Community as the worst thing in the game.

Edit : In actual news, they reprinted Rewind in Core..and Teferi rotates this fall. Who is god damn ready for the flash deck to be able to counter your spells and THEN play a threat? That will be a fun standard won't it.
