And the next entry on the game changers...

You could pretty much build a deck with a Tiamat commander, get a sac outlet, and then just loop her indefinitely to get all the dragons you want.
I already view Ur-dragon and Tiamat players as the archenemy when they sit down, this card just proves I was correct to do so and should continue to do so.

So it looks like Jace is shooting for a Valgavoth approach to fixing the multiverse where he becomes omnipresent, and the building blocks of creation just kind of bend to his will, as they are all him.

I was wondering what he was doing on Duskmourn. Loots ability to navigate the multiverse is absolute, so avoiding a dangerous plane would be trivial. I think he was figuring out how Valgavoth expanded his consciousness throughout the entire plane and how he maintained it, and just didn't want to pay a sitter.

I imagine they are going to have to hit overlords in standard as this card is crazy for them as it triggers beans, is easily cast, and is an instant.

It does change the game but WotC's definition of game changer is actually just CEDH staple and this isn't one of those.
Duh, because it's not out yet.

There are uh, better options to do this that don't involve 8 mana.

Like CEDH level options >.>
Yeah yeah, I'm sure it'll just be like the One Ring and have no relevance oh Nostradamus.

It's also cute how you people act like mana cost means anything nowadays...

(and that guy is just off the top of my head)

Well they've already established that he's the wizard of the coast so why not just go ahead and make him god?

I'd just be more shocked the company is letting a white guy be their face. I thought for sure they would have picked Kaya.

There are ways to resurrect enchantments yes but it's still the hardest type to cheat into play (other than Battle hehe) and I don't know that there's a deck yet that wants to put multiple ways to cheat an enchantment, multiple enchantments, and multiple big dragons to cast for free in the same deck.

You could build that stuff into Ur-Dragon or Tiamat, but it seems like you'd be lost in the sauce. You'd be better off just doing green things and casting it on turn 4 but I still don't think it's a good card outside of RG dragon decks in commander.

Ironic because Ur-Dragon's in play text is literally cheating things into play, so...

Actually it'll probably go in my Zurgo and Ojutai deck since it's all about bouncing dragons back to hand to replay. Getting it, Sneak Attack, and my commander in play will make me archenemy for sure.

Sure I guess, but you don't have access to the things that really drive something like Omniscience into overdrive. Omniscience lets you cast things to draw you into the big haymakers you wanna cast.

I would not be embarrassed to cast Rooftop Dragonstorm, but I am also not remotely excited to do it when I've done similar things for less mana.

WHAT DECK HAS WHIRLWIND ROUNDHOUSE KICK EFFECTS
My...mono green deck? Spinning Wheel Kick is an okayish removal spell if you only have Green (spending a bit more to have a bite and not a fight is a good trade off and Spinnin wheel kick can scale up)

Ironic because Ur-Dragon's in play text is literally cheating things into play, so...
Ur-Dragon also fuels its own effect.

That is boring, you're boring. I WANT COOL CARDS TO PUT IN MY DECK. WHAT DECK HAS WHIRLWIND ROUNDHOUSE KICK EFFECTS THAT ALSO HAS A SUPER SPECIAL FOIL TREATMENT?

That's the card I want. Oh its $500? I'll take 2.
Shelob or Zangeif both like a good bite/fight and come in foil.

I may have used the phrase "spinning wheel roundhouse kick" in ignorance, not knowing that was actually kinda sorta a thing. I forgot about the Street Fighter cards entirely as well.

I may be a bit nostalgic, but return to Tarkir is looking to be more than I could have hoped it could be. There are more cards than I’ve seen in sets in a long time that make me want to brew. The sibsig ceremony has the brewer in me very excited to grind out possible deck lists.

A lot of the designs in this set so far are just... kinda lazy? Powerful, but really simple. I really think the A-team has nothing to do with in-universe at all anymore, honestly. Hence why we saw the explosion of "do X twice instead" cards over the last few years.

At least it actually looks like a magic set, even if again the art looks like shit compared to Khans block proper.

It's from Kamigawa Neon Dynasty.

It's not the GREATEST card..but it's a bite that hits Creatures and Planeswalkers, its not amazing but like I said..in mono green its acceptable.

Oh Hello removal spell with value attached.

I have kind of the opposite take because pretty much all of the FF and Spider Man cards looked like they just took old dumpstered card ideas and put FF/Spiderman art on them at random and called it good where at least Tarkir looks like fun, if uninspired, callbacks.

and put FF/Spiderman art on them at random
I think for the starter decks and commander decks, yeah, they feel like random things. But in the "main" proper, there's usually a lot of flavor that matches the idea - like the cactaur, the fishing sidequest, cecil, the summons etc. Spider-Man involving tapping and Green Goblin caring about discard take a little more to get there - bindings usually involve tapping, discarding cards outside of Ikoria usually means being erratic - so I don't mind it. More interesting to me are the designs and angles of play, which are greatly varied even when the flavor fails to connect.

Whereas I look at the mainstuff shit and it's like, yeah. There's gonna be something that's broken or slots into a broken archetype, then everything else is going to be boring as shit. Like I'm glad I picked up Monument to Endurance, since it's just going up, but there was so little else to do anything with in that entire set. "Do this powerful thing" is just boring. I like plate-spinning.

Mana base seems bad for a wedge set and how fast 60 card formats are.
There is gonna be a rare cycle of lands I think, however Mana is pretty good already in standard.

Surveil Lands turn on the Verges, we got pain lands and fast lands, given its a 3 color set I am curious if we are going to get some sort of 3 color lands of some sort but any set of Rare lands I could think of would be....insane for WOTC to make.

The rare cycle isn't that impressive. They are lands of a certain color with an activated ability. They come in untapped if you control one of the other colors in the wedge. They don't have a basic type.
