Where was the Hobbit when they did LOTR?

I'm pretty sure Korra is popular in the circles WOTC moves in so I'd also bet you a $2 rare that they were holding Korra back for "Avatar 2" if the first set was a hit.

Also they probably don't want to touch anything live actuon because there are issues with actor likeness rights. Hence why D&D movie cards did drawn art instead of screenshots IMO.
 
I got an Emeritus of Woe in one of my prerelease winning packs. The fact that she comes prepared while ETB sounds like it could be extremely exploitable with graveyard shenanigans. Has anyone tested it out? Also don't sleep on the White Emeritus either, that card was putting in work for me.

I don't know how good it will be in a format like standard or modern. But under the right circumstances it can probably be as busted as Ideation is right now.

I doubt they are gonna make Jace the super duper big bad man unless it is AU Jace and WOTC won't miss this chance to make SUPER GOOD GUY MAN GIDEON REAAAAAAAAAALY EEVIILLLL

Edit : What if instead of Black Gideon...we get super Evil Colorless Gideon that works for Emrakul.

Gideon's most famous card was from Battle for Zendikar so his "Evil" version like Chandra has could be

"Gidon, Herald of Emrakul" 3

+1 Gideon becomes a 4/4 Indestructible hexproof blah blah blah

+0 : Make a 2/2 Colorless Eldrazi Horror Token

-10 : Make an emblem that gives your creatures +1/+1 Flying, Indestructible


Liliana is probably gonna be "last hope" and "first hope" since Veil just left standard and Dreadhorde General is already in Standard so that leaves Last hope as her most famous one left to use, which gives us Black Fungus Necromancer Nissa, and...in an insane twist we get Jace the Mindsculpter back in Standard with Red JTMS that has Bolt instead of Brainstorm.

Ohhhh yeah, this is a good limited set. Everything is insanely high-power, there's a ton of different lines of play, and while most of the colleges are single-minded in their focus, there's a lot of play in terms of when you fire things off.

However, I feel the draft portion - especially after people have been so on-rails with Lorwyn and Turtles - is where folks will get eaten alive. If you don't correctly pivot to the seat you need to be, you're gonna wind up with a dysfunctional deck that can't really deal with the fact that cards like Witherbloom Charm are emblematic of uncommons. I wound up with a good Silverquill deck, got passed like 10 rares, and it just felt absolutely unfair.
