It depends on which Jumpstart. Jumpstart 2022, not to be confused with Jumpstart Dominaria or Jumpstart Brother's War, is the same philosophy as Jumpstart 2020. Whereas the other two jumpstarts have essentially zero value and are plummeting down to zero, Jumpstart 2022's price dipped because it was expected to be more of that shit, and then boomed up once people realized there was (some) good shit in there. Here's the full card list. Its a shame the ruined jumpstart, the original set was a lot of fun and I really enjoyed just playing it. I didn't give a fuck about the value, it was a cool idea done well (outside of the supply problems). Then they took another golden goose and turned it inside out to look for where the golden eggs came from.
It honestly has less value in it than Jumpstart 2020 and Jumpstart 2020 is cheaper because of overprinting to make up for its low original run, but it's not a worthless product. JS2022 is somewhat over-hyped but not embarrassing, and the 'anime card in every pack' bullshit will ensure that some slice of the playerbase always wants it, for whatever reason.
Within a set playgroup, these usually aren't that bad. The person who brings the Initiative / Dungeon / Day-Night cards brings tokens to track their own progress and pass around for other people to do with intitiative/monarch, reminds them of the triggers, etc. In 99% of cases, the only person who cares about day-night and dungeon will be the person playing it, so if they miss a trigger, that's their loss. I have yet to see anyone playing with the godawful un-set cards (this one seems vastly less popular than earlier runs, which had more generally fun and interactive card designs than haha! clowns!!!! haha!!!!! space clowns!!!!), much less the sticker bullshit, and even companions, within a set group, are acceptable if a sure sign that you've got a munchkin.I just don't want to deal with shit like Enter the Dungeon, Day and Night tracking, Companions, and stickers.
It's when you're playing with randoms that these things become extremely onerous and tedious to deal with, really, because you'll often get people who fuck up continually, don't bring enough tokens to track shit, and generally behave like speds besides the mechanics. Not a fun experience, really.
