They acted like Jace and Vraska were an actual couple instead of having broken up at the end of War of the Spark.
I still hate how they did this couple dirty in the third Ravnica visit. The only reason that WOTC is trying to retcon that couple breaking up is because the fans that cared about the story were pissed at what went down. Jace and Vraska's dynamic in Ixalan was one of the few good points of that story.

Well, that and the part where WOTC tried pretending that fans could vote in the winner of Rivals of Ixalan only for that idea to get shut down when the evil vampire colonizers won the vote.

I would say most of Ixalan was good to the point where it is the best story line in the years after Origins did the soft reboot, my only real complaint is that Ugin never really got called out for his part of the Immortal Sun plan.

Allison Luhrs is one of the few competent writers at wizards. She wrote the whole of Ixalan/rivals, and is always brought back whenever Vraska and Jace are the subject of the story. A lot of the set stories are written by multiple artists which makes it hard to get into them.

Oh the actual writing in the Jace/Vraska bits are usually quite nice, even the outlaws of Thunder junction bit.

My Issue is that WOTC threw it out the first chance they got for no reason then brought it back in All will be One for to tug a cheap emotional chain and then threw them into the Loot plot as if we should care about them raising a child together, Vraska should never have had to "make up" for working with Bolas because she was an inside against who didn't even know she was an inside agent.

What should have happened is that post War of the Spark is that with Niv in charge of Ravnica the time of Chaos and instability is straight up over and we don't go back there for a set for a long time and it becomes the base of Operations for the Gatewatch with Jace as the official Planeswalker spokesperson for Ravnica while Vraska has to step down from Queen of the Golgari because as proven with Jace..Planeswalkers being in high positions in Ravnican society, she joins the Gatewatch and becomes an Archeologist for it because the best time she ever had was on Ixalan so looking for old shit becomes her job.

Then when Zendikar Rising happens her and Jace can both go, and then when Neon Dynasty happens The Wanderer can go to Jace and Vraska for help from the Actual Gatewatch properly instead of them just SHOWING UP ON DOMINARIA JUST CAUSE, then they can go to Dominaria because Teferi knows that is where the Phyrexians came from because he was involved in the first fucking invasion and studied directly under Urza.

They keep referring to Axtraxa as a Preator.
Retarded if anything she's the symbol of New Phyrexia, their champion if you will.
They referred to Zhalfir as a full plane instead of a nation that was a phased out of Dominaria.
They kinda became a Plane which will be all sorts of fuckery that comes with it.

Canon is malleable.
They seem to think every Planeswalker gets some sort of superpower for just being a Planeswalker.
They used to be gods now they're mercenary wizards who blip out or fucking die.
They also seem to think that Planeswalkers are inherently good guys.
HAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

This was before that and that has some massive issues that I am wondering if this podcast is gonna mention.

Yeah it's really weird that they did not bring up Nicol Bolas being a planeswalker when he was mentioned.

"We were god's once" - Bolas.

Retarded if anything she's the symbol of New Phyrexia, their champion if you will.
I mean she doesn't have the Preator Type, that is sort of a very important indicator.

I actually think this is an oversight between lore and game mechanics. If anything at the time of MOM, Atraxa would be considered the only Praetor according to Norn.

From a lore standpoint, the title of Praetor falls to the most trusted or devoted servant of the leader of Phyrexia. The term originates from Praetorian Guard. Gix(The first Praetor) wasn't even phyrexian when he began to serve Yawgmoth. He was simply the most trusted amongst all of his servants. By the time of MOM, Norn leads new Phyrexia. In this regard, as Atraxa is Norns most trusted, Atraxa is Praetor.

The Praetors of New Phyrexia proper, are the five most devoted to the advancement of New Phyrexia as a whole, but are not its ruler. The type stuck irregardless of their status changing. In the same manner a disgraced prince is still considered royalty by the public.

Not as pissed as the fans were that Chandra decided not to be a lesbian at the end of War. They were so ass-pained.

Gix being a Preator is a retcon, he was never mentioned as having that title whatsoever. Neither did Tsabo Tsavoc, Crovax or Volrath. The entire concept of a Phyrexian Preator didn't exist in lore until New Phyrexia when it became the word they used for the 5 rulers of the Mirrodin Biomes.

Atraxa doesn't rule one of the 5 Biomes, she is by the standards of what New Phyrexia has been shown is not a Preator.

This was the only based thing the faggot writer did besides name a character Rat. Bossman representation before it was cool 🐀
There was a character named Rat before, it was short for Ratape and he was one of the main characters in the Planeswalker book.

He fucked the Nonbinary out of Xanchta.

What program/website should I use (free or pirated) so I can learn the game real quick to play with someone who has actual cards? It doesn't matter if I suck, just need the basics.

while it's a cocksucking faggot program, MTGArena is free (in the bare minimum sense) and teaches you how to play, and you can play endless practice games with the basic bot. That's the best thing that's out there to teach you how to play beyond picking someone on youtube that you find understandable, or being taught irl by someone who knows the game.

Volrath and Crovax both held the title of Evincar at various points. Not sure why they didn't re-use that for New Phyrexia.

That's not true, I'm pretty sure they called him a Praetor in the books back then, but I don't have them on hand. However, in the Vanguard card flavor text, which came out in the late 90's he's defined as a praetor.

Tsabo wasn't a Praetor, she was just a random general.

Evincars were specifically the rulers of Rath appointed by Phyrexian inner circle members and Praetors. Before Crovax and Volrath there was a guy named Davvol who was very weak and mostly known for his ability to service things, but he played a big part in the Bloodlines books and was appointed by a never depicted Phyrexian known as Croag. Davvol shows up on several cards and that black thing on his head is because his people are born with soft heads that never stop being soft, so the Phyrexian grafted a metal plate onto his head to make him stronger.

Man, the autistic nerds on this thread should start a MTG lore podcast. We're already demonstrating more ability than the others.
