Yeah I've seen him, he's cute. He's definitely a skeleton commander but not a tribal one. There are decent commanders for a skeleton deck beyond dumb contamination style combos but I'm talking something like "When a skeleton X do Y", "All skeletons have X", "Create X skeletons when you Y". Ideally in Jund for my own tastes but Sultai is fine too.
It's a bit funny to me to see someone asking for this sort of thing after years of people complaining about how homogenous the modern for-Commander "Do X, get Y" style of design is.

I don't disagree though, skeletons are cool.

Well, I think both MTGGoldfish and Archidekt allow anonymous deck posting, if you're afraid of your build being unique you can always fuck with the mana base and interaction
Well there are decks I could show that probably aren't too hard to post, however one of my partner pairings is so rare that it has under 10 listings on EDH rec and my deck is probably 3 of those listings from using all 3 of the major deck builders over the years.

You can ask, but we mostly just shit talk. I wish i could link my decks without doxing myself.
If you're on moxfield, go click the dots, then export.

From there, you can literally hit "copy as plain text" and then just paste it straight in here in some spoiler tags.

Heck then if any of us want to see the cards, we can copy the text and do the "import" command on moxfield to reverse it.

I do like doing junk builds, where I take a commander and see what I can build for it completely from my existing collection. Singles are not allowed - but booster packs are. (that's what convinced me of how good jund aristocrats are - I did a korvald deck just out whatever I had laying around and it was a lazy beast)

Oh yeah it's not that I am worried about.

I worry about some autist looking at the list then going back and finding someone with a similar deck and accusing them of being me.

Oh I've been changing my aristocrats deck from Korvold to Ziatora.
Oh, I might need to do this! I had a lot of fun with Korvold when I started playing, I started a few months back with the EoE precon that had him in it, and swapped him to my commander. Which apparently made me the number one threat for some reason, because he has a reputation.
Which was absolutely stupid at a table that had ninjitsu commanders with unblockable creatures and a bunch of stompy green players that gain counters just for creatures entering with infinite token generators with that cat commander that stops you playing any spells when it's their turn to prevent any interaction, but oh no me needing to sac things for counters in a fucking precon was the problem.

Ziatora might just let me have fun in peace haha

When you post the deck, list only basic lands. :D Or even better! Find a deck list of someone you don't like - and then post theirs.

I really loved the first Eldraine brawl decks. In fact I'll still fervently argue that the brawl decks should still be the main set tie-in decks (which might dox me, as I think I'm one of 3 people in the world who liked brawl). Heck if I ever want a precon for some of its content, usually that content is just around 60 cards anyway. I think a lot of current issues in MTG could be solved by the brawl decks.

Anyway, in addition to that, I just really dug the flavor of those commanders they had in it too. Though even i admit Korvald is... well to be frank, his text really should be an "OR" not "and" on his ability. Especially with treasures now it's almost too easy to stock a bunch of mana and then just pop off to turn a swing suddenly into lethal and then have a full grip for any other shenanigans.

But it sounds like with your group, you would probably also like stuffing the deck with Act of Treason type effects (as I'm doing) so you can swipe all those tricksy creatures and then toss them around the table.

Oh! A commander format a buddy recently introduced me to: randomized mode. Basically everyone brings a deck with AT LEAST 3 possible commanders in it. Then before the game begins, the commanders are chosen at random and you have to play with that. (I first tried it with the Dr Who precons.) Give it a shot sometime if you want to spice up a game day.

Yeah, this is why I am thinking I might really like Zia, being able to steal a creature use it to slap someone and _then_ blow it up as a bomb sounds more fun than stealing something just to feed it to Korvold, He's my babyboy but the Slap'n'bomb-potential seems funnier. Especially if I combo it with something like Hunt the mark for an instant Yiazmat as a bonus pay-off.

They probably should've realized it was the pre-con. Though Korvold's reputation is very earned, he draws a ton of cards for just playing your deck. He might've been ok if maybe it was at least nontoken. From commanders alone, Kutzil isn't anything amazing, with opponents being prevented really only from countering or specific combat tricks (though the other cards should've drawn plenty threat). Yuriko I guess if they were playing Ninja tribal didn't seem too threatening, in comparison to the classic Yuriko into revealing some 16 cost card. Who knows, commander is not a place of smart decisions.

If you just liked the counters, take a look at Kresh, who gets plenty from anything dying. Though Ziatora is probably pretty good, isn't enough of a threat, plus you can put in other Fling effects in case he doesn't stick around long.

I think he wasn't referring to Kutzil but to Marisi.

Which kind of funny that someone can reference "cat shutting off spells" and we can't be sure which it is.

It was actually both, two players had them, lmao. Kutzil had infinite tokens looping and spreading counters and Marisi was obviously combat tricking everything that could breath.

Yuriko I guess if they were playing Ninja
And yeah, it was them using only high cost cycle monsters and unblockables with things like Ninja Blades pinging everyone for 10-16+ damage a turn by turn 3. Not an incredible threat just annoying that nobody thought they would be a problem and were too busy focused on me so he never got put in check.

I did explicitly say it was the World Shaper EoE precon pre-game I just swapped the commander since Korvold comes in it, so it was less tokens and more sac'ing lands/bringing them back with landfalls, so idea was less about feeding Korv and just feeding other triggers. It was quite literaly my first game of Magic since I was like 10 so it felt weird being main target like that just for having him as a commander, I barely ever got to use him haha.

I had not seen ninja blades. Why the heck is the equip ability have an ability word in front of it? I know since D&D1 wotc has been doing ability words in front of text at times for flavor but... this is just baffling.

It would be like if they made a Samurai Jack character and wrote on him: Jump Good -- Flying

I am not 100% sure? I thought it might have been a special equip rule at first like job select was but I am told it's just the name of some Ninja weapons or daggers or something in a few final fantasy games? It has a wiki page but I am not familiar with it even as someone who played a good amount of the FF games, if it's meant to be flavour text it's incredibly low effort.

This is literally all it is. They've been doing this since the D&D set. The target audience of soyfacing millennials getting excited over thing they recognize apparently isn't smart enough to recognize a mechanical nod to the source material, so Wizards includes a helpful reminder that it is, in fact, thing they recognize. It's like those boomer Facebook memes where they circle and underline something in red just to make sure you get the joke. Pure wasted space in the textbox, largely relegated to the draft chaff because the chase rares already have too many words on them.

Its a final fantasy 14 weapon, they are representing the signature abilities of the FF14 classes that use specific weapons and only those weapons.

Do people find their pods develop a unique meta? Where you might put cards in a deck specifically because you know how others in your pod will act, even if they're bad cards outside your pod?
