So, I posted this one thread on Lolcow and after having it up for a bit, also after some feedback. I wanted to take it down but saw no delete option, was pretty hard to find. I'm just askin for maybe a delete button in the corner of the thread you create so when someone posts something they want to take down after feedback, they can without having to figure it out so long. Or if there is a delete option in front, have it moved as a button in the thread, even for other newcomers.
 
It should be at the bottom of your post, between edit and report.

I assume you're talking about those Parnormal Investigators thread you wrote? Honestly we don't delete threads like that and just because a bunch of posters don't think they have potential. In fact, we consider it backseat moderating and you will get your shit kicked in (Subtle call out.).

I do think we should stop the "not a lolcow" posting if they aren't funny then don't give anything of value.

Our biggest priority is content preservation. You do not get to decide what gets deleted in the Lolcow board.
 
Hell fucking no. If there's a legit reason to delete a thread (like you're a moron who posted the same thread 3 times and the merge option isn't available to users), it's not like it's difficult to message a hotpocket/@Null to get it done.
 
Hypothetically speaking, suppose a user gets doxed by the cow they created a thread on. This hypothetical tranny could try to delete the thread leading to loss of content and a bunch of drama when Null AnOminous undeletes it.

I doubt something like that would happen, but it's hypothetically possible.

Seriously, if anyone wishes to drive down to their house and put them out of their misery it would be justified imo.

Stop taking my words out of context. I'm saying is that it isn't even a person. It is an autistic tranny who brought enourmous shame to this board and it would be doing the world a favor. I'm obviously not saying that Wildchild was worse than Bin Laden. I'm saying that the person who does use it's dox to Murder it should get a trophy.

You are aware that there's a chance that they may bring it back to the board. The mods shouln't even have brought up the suggestion that there is a chance that it could come back to the board. If that happened I would personally make sure that it's life was ruined. And there are users who thought it would be funny to vote for it to come back. That is not okay.. The admins brought the topic back up.

The issue seems to have hit him right in the sense of Internet-cultural honour. Literal honour, as in feudal Japan, the Pashtuns, and the old South, rather than some kind of humorous euphemism.

I'm not familiar with the incident in question; I still think he is overreacting about the incident and the it.
