When I go to a user's profile page on the forum, there is nothing there that tells me if a user is banned or not. Maybe there is, but I can't find any hints on any users' profiles that are banned.

It would be nice if it was more apparent that a user had been banned, like a big red banner saying the account can no longer post at all.

It's obvious enough if a user is banned if you look at one of their posts; it's replaced by "guest", the last I checked.
Those were people that chose to have their accounts deleted after the massive database leak in 2019. There have been multiple signifiers in the past when users were banned.

Most recently names were struckthrough but this was removed without notice likely because it was upsetting people to see all of the old users they liked gone now. Every old thread looked like a graveyard so there’s no way to tell now unless you or someone you know were there to witness the banning.

There used to be a strikethrough through names of banned users, but that interfered with privacy settings after a Xenoforo update (iirc). So Null had to choose between allowing people to private their profiles and keeping things like the ban strikethrough, or making all user profiles public to every logged in user.

Give them a "banned" tag. also change their pfp to this:

I like the idea of adding something to their name like the pink triangle. Would be usefull when high profile people like Elaine Miller get banned than you can see that their banned. Hell maybe even adding a post to their profile similar to 4chans "USER WAS BANNED FOR THIS POST" would be nice flavor into why they got what they deserved.

Using inspect element, and based off SA, I would think something like this:

would work.

The original, for comparison:
