Making your own music instead of listening to others

I've already mentioned in another thread that I wrote and recorded a (kinda shitty) song and uploaded it to YouTube. I'd put it here, but I sang in it and I don't want my voice on this site.

I agree with the general idea that you should make your own music (because it's fun) but framing it in terms of muh "singularity" just makes the OP come off like an autistic faggot high on zim/xir's infected neovaginal discharge.

I like to make concept albums on certain things, I've made an album sexology based on the evolutionary history of earth where the music goes through the timepiece eras of life on earth. It's more amateur than anything but I enjoyed the process of making them anyways, even if it does get mixed reviews and not much success. I can just glance upon my projects I made and tell myself how much fun I had working with the digital audio workstation and instruments I used. The albums about death, whether it's from Bruce Springsteen, David Bowie, The Cure, Depeche Mode, Sufjan Stevens, etc. Always have been really interesting to me as it reminds me of time passing. But The Caretaker's "Everywhere at the End of Time" which is a concept album based on dementia has really convinced me to make more concept albums. Combine that with the inspiration from Aphex Twin, Boards of Canada and Tangerine Dream. I had interests on making concept albums specifically on deep subjects. Whether it be about a Children of Men situation, horrors of Nuclear World War III, or mood disorders. I have recently attempted to create an album about Bipolar Disorder and plan to do the same about Schizophrenia and so on.

I wonder how people get their music published? What kinda record labels or recording studios? I dunno just curious.
 
I literally can't. I've tried. I can partake in every other kind of "art form" with some level of competence, but I can't chart out a beat or sheet music to save my fucking life. My brain can't comprehend it the same way it can computers or traditonal art. I am simply not cut out to make my own music, and I'm fine with admitting that. It's a shame too, because rhythm games are unironically some of my favorite games ever.

Sure, I can learn to play an instrument... after practicing for 5 or so damn years, and theres no promise doing so will benefit me in any way. Or I can learn to code, weld, ect. You know, stuff that will actually pay my damn bills. If I ever need music that damn badly for some project I'm working on, I'll just pay for it, I'd already be doing damn near everything else myself anyways.

I make some music because I'm sick of all the leftist shit in music. It's literally fucking everywhere. It's nice to be counter culture without being needlessly edgy. I hold out hope that someday there will be a strong counter culture to what Rock, Hip Hop, and Country's been doing lately.

I don't know if OP is serious, but to make music you NEED to listen to other music to have influences and eventually make your own shit. Nothing comes out of nothing. Of course having influences is not the same as being a derivative faggot.

Yeah all the edgy music sure is cringe. I do make music that can be played in public as well, though, in all seriousness.
