A US man has been fired from his job after sharing some controversial far right views in a viral debate watched by millions.
Jubilee’s web series Surrounded has made a name for itself as one of the most popular and provocative political shows on YouTube, and its latest episode featuring British-American journalist Mehdi Hasan was no different.
The political commentator was joined by 20 self-identified 'far-right' conservatives for the latest episode, and things pretty quickly came to the boil. Hasan was speaking with one 'far-right' conservative, who identified himself as Connor Estelle, who also uses the pseudonym Pinesap online.
When asked about how he would run America, Estelle suggested that he doesn't believe in democracy and instead felt people should (ironically) vote for a ruling autocrat, who would be in charge of every decision in America.
He then went on to quote Carl Schmitt, a political writer who was famously part of the Nazi party, before saying: "I don't care about being called a Nazi at all. They persecuted the church a little bit, I'm not a fan of that.
Hasan then asked him what his thoughts were on the Nazis and their persecution of Jewish people, to which Estelle replied: "I certainly don't support anyone's human dignity being insulted, I'm a Catholic. I think that there was a little bit of persecution, which is bad."
To be clear, approximately six million Jewish people were killed by the Nazis in the Holocaust, which arguably constitutes more than a 'little bit of persecution'.

The journalist then pointed out that Estelle is in fact, not just a far-right republican, but a fascist, to which he nodded in agreement before laughing manically, with some of the others in the group clapping along.
Despite openly outing himself as a fascist, Estelle was shocked when he was sacked from his job following the viral debate.
After launching a fundraiser, which somehow has already raised close to $20,000, Estelle wrote: "My name is Connor and I was recently shown in the latest Jubilee episode, as a result, unfortunately I was subsequently released from my job.
"I'm raising money as an emergency fund and for other expenses while I look for a new job. Unfortunately voicing fully legal traditional right wing political views results in real consequences. This is cancel culture and political discrimination on full display."
