Edit4: UNCONFIRMED...The cop that shot Daunte may have been female and
. 'the story happening' is that she thought she grabbed her taser but she grabbed her gun.

It'll be interesting if she avoids a manslaughter charge by arguing he died by speeding away and getting in a terrible crash
The only thing that would keep her from getting fucked on this is ironically Chauvin's case drawing almost all the attention and being an attention sink, I think. That and being a woman, but that's a much longer shot.

Not that she should, that was a BIG mistake and she waved it around before shooting it... Don't tasers have brightly colored stuff on it to signify it's not a gun
There’s very little chance of her walking on a manslaughter charge... if the prosecutors here are interested in charging it. The fact that she shouted taser taser taser, waved the gun around, and still didn’t notice she didn’t have the taser out is about as good of a case for manslaughter possible. Her only hope would be qualified immunity - which probably won’t fly, as there’s case law involving fleeing suspects and cops accidentally shooting them when thinking they have tasers out.

Rap only glorifies one type of behavior.

That aside he's pretty fucking pale for a black dude.
The mixed race "lightskins" tend to be the more violent of the "blacks" and the more likely to game the social justice system. Keep that idea out in front and you'll see a pattern.
Muh white privilege, yet these individuals with, typically one white and one black parent, cash the fuck out of the black half of their identity.

It was a woman and she thought she had her taser out.

They're going to start chanting about Fruitvale Station, aren't they? *sigh*

How to not get shot by police:

Step 1: Listen to them

That's being :optimistic: as hell.

As with everything else these days, my level of sympathy hire for this diversity hire depends entirely on how she votes. I will say it seems to be an oddly female thing of panicking in the heat of the moment and pulling out a gun instead of a taser. There are multiple videos of that floating around on the tubes and they all involve strong empowered female futurists. Seems to be right up there with the shrieking woman that seems to accompany every shooting video.

Really just waiting to find out her politics before I determine if I care or not how badly she's about to be raped by the legal system to pacify the australopithecine hoard from liberating any more shoes or flatscreen tvs.

Is this going to end up another chimp out or is it just going to be forgotten in a day like most of the other black people deaths?
I kind of miss last years riots desu so I'm sort of hoping for the former.

It's looking similar to the beginning of the George Floyd Saga. Folks on the Right want the chick jailed for the foolishness: "You can't be a cop in this political climate and not be able to tell a gun from a taser when in pressure." And folks on the far[-enough] Left also agree.

But sadly, it's inevitable. Prepare for Round 2!

I wonder if blacks and their alleged compatriots realize that if you riot when an officer is involved in a shooting, and then you riot again whether the officer walks or gets nicked, people start to figure out that you're going to riot anyway and not many people really like riots and rioters so... why are we bothering with the process of holding the officer to task for killing a black person again?

Depends what the broad cop gets charged with.
If it's intentional homicide, it'll probably simmer things but that will only bottle up until an unreasonable charge like that will most likely get acquitted.

Imagine Democrats welcoming making their city the Somalia of North America and ever thinking that was a good idea.

Police departments used to use the M18, it was modeled on the Glock 17 the idea being the muscle memory would be the same between the two weapons.

Obviously this was a really bad idea as the Oscar Grant shooting proved when the officer wore both on the same side of his belt and couldn't tell the difference.

The X26 is the standard issue and you can see it's considerably different than the old M18 model.

Not only are the colored differently, they're made of different materials, they weigh a lot less, and the grip is completely different. The only thing that even lets her argue that she thought it was a taser is the fact that she said so in the video. Either way she's going to get completely torn apart.

I'm guessing she doesn't practice with either taser or pistol often enough to fucking develop an appreciation for the difference.

Which would be pretty believable, really.

Wasn't the proper response (or at least allowable) to shoot the suspect anyway? It was a violent felon fleeing the police using a deadly weapon. There's ample precedent for situations like this.

Like it seems like the woman accidentally did the right thing.
No. All the officers were out of the direct path of the vehicle, there was a passenger in her backstop and angle, she had already stated she was using non lethal force.

Apparently, it was the air freshener that led to his destruction:

And politicians and "jounalists" love a good stirred pot:

Can we make:

"An air freshener shouldn't be a death sentence"

A new random.txt?

I love how they're ignoring the fact he has a previous warrant and was actively resisting multiple officers

Crap hanging from your mirror is a technically correct "Obstructed windshield". Probably actually B.S. reason to go fishing by running id/insurance/have a sniff inside, But technically correct. And they caught one. Don't hang crap off your mirror, Or don't run when they arrest you for that warrant you've got out. If Einstein had just shrugged his shoulders and said "Welp, Guess you got me. Let's see how much bail is tomorrow." That would have been it. Trouble, But nothing could've avoided it at that point.

Massive screwup on the part of the cop, Too. But hers wasn't the only massive screwup that day. Things kinda sucked all around.
