Man with weapon detained near Brett Kavanaugh’s home

A California man carrying at least one weapon near Brett M. Kavanaugh’s Maryland home has been taken into custody by police after telling officers he wanted to kill the Supreme Court justice, according to people familiar with the investigation.

The man, described as being in his mid-20s, was found to be carrying at least one weapon and burglary tools, these people said, speaking on the condition of anonymity to discuss an ongoing investigation. Police were apparently notified that the person might pose a threat to the justice, but it was not immediately clear who provided the initial tip, these people said. The man apparently did not make it onto Kavanaugh’s property in Montgomery County but was stopped on a nearby street, these people said.

Two people familiar with the investigation said the initial evidence indicates that the man was angry about the leaked draft of an opinion by the Supreme Court signaling that the court is preparing to overturn Roe. v. Wade, the 49-year-old decision that guaranteed the constitutional right to have an abortion. He was also angry over a recent spate of mass shootings, these people said.

The man was arrested at about 1:50 a.m. today, Supreme Court spokeswoman Patricia McCabe said in a statement.

“The man was armed and made threats against Justice Kavanaugh,” McCabe said. “He was transported to Montgomery County Police 2nd District.”

Remember to never stop bringing up the crazy California demonrat who illegally crossed state lines with a weapon after threatening a supreme court justice.
we don't actually know where he was right before he showed up at that nice basketball coach's house, the local coverage makes it seem like he might have been out of the area fora while

If there is one thing I learned from the Kyle Rittenhouse story, it's never to let knowing the whole picture ruin a good chance to shit on people.

ShareBlue now trying to walk it back.

Apology not accepted, because it's not an apology. It's disappointment over Mission Failed.

My lawyer has advised me to not say what I really, really want to, but I’m not surprised and I believe it’s likely more of this will happen.
When people’s lives start to get a lot worse, they’ll find someone to blame. And by and large, people are getting more politically radical.

Man charged with attempting to kill Brett Kavanaugh headed to trial

A California man accused of attempting to murder Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh two years ago appears headed for trial after protracted plea negotiations failed to yield a deal, a court filing from prosecutors Friday said.

Nicholas Roske was arrested near Kavanaugh’s suburban Maryland home in the early morning hours on June 8, 2022, while allegedly carrying a Glock pistol, a tactical knife, two magazines of ammunition, pepper spray, a hammer, a screwdriver, a crow bar, duct tape and soft-soled boots that can be used to move quietly.

According to court records, Roske told police he wanted to kill Kavanaugh because he was angry over a forthcoming Supreme Court decision on abortion rights and rulings limiting gun control. A federal grand jury in Maryland later indicted him on a charge of attempted murder of a Supreme Court justice.

Roske, of Simi Valley, California, has been in custody since his arrest and was ordered by a judge to undergo a mental health evaluation.

Prosecutors and defense lawyers have been discussing a potential plea deal in the case for more than a year, but in a report to the court earlier this month, lawyers from the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Maryland said they would seek a trial date if no deal was reached by this week.

On Friday, prosecutors informed U.S. District Judge Peter Messitte that the talks had failed to reach agreement and asked him to take steps to set a trial.

“As of this date, the parties have not been able to agree upon the terms for a pretrial resolution of this case,” prosecutor Kathleen Gavin wrote in a report to the court. “Accordingly, the government requests a scheduling conference to set …dates for pretrial motions and trial. Counsel for the defendant has advised that he joins in this request.”

Roske was able to get within feet of Kavanaugh’s home despite ramped up security by U.S. Marshals following protests that broke out after POLITICO’s exclusive report the previous month on a draft Supreme Court opinion overturning the right to abortion.

Police reports indicate Roske got out of a taxi with a bag after midnight in front of Kavanaugh’s residence, but was not immediately interrogated by the deputy marshals standing guard on his lawn.

Roske later called 911 at the urging of his sister and told police of his plans, according to the police reports. He was arrested a short time later in a driveway near Kavanaugh’s home.

"Buglarly Tools"?

Lockpicks and tension wrenches, crowbar and 3/8th screwdriver, drill and drill bits, dynamite, ect? Pleases be more specific, faggots.

The only good thing to say is that the competency crisis has affected our assassins as much as everyone else, they went to the same schools after all and were taught the same useless indoctrination and grievance shit as all the rest. No wonder they can't get their act together any more than those who went to work for law enforcement did.

They brought all that stuff because they "know" that's what the guys in the heist movie bring with them, not what it's for or how to use it.

I seriously think that if you put them in an actual burning building with locked doors and a crowbar? They would die before they realized they had the tool in their hands to force open a door. To them, the only thing they know it's good for is taking up your melee weapon slot in an FPS game, and if there's no headcrabs around? It's useless.

I suspect they're going to wish he took the plea deal since I doubt the courts will be in the mood to endure scrutiny over lenient sentencing.
Even just threatening to do it lands you with a hefty jail sentence they're 100% going to throw the book at him to try and discourage anyone else from trying it. Especially post Trump assassination I doubt the Justice Department is going to tolerate would be political assassins.
