Former Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafortignored the advice of his allies and continued to talk to a Russian associate even after he was indicted by special counsel Robert Mueller, The New York Times reported late Friday.

Manafort and Konstantin Kilimnik traded emails throughout the 2016 presidential campaign - even appearing to discuss the financial benefit Manafort's high-level position could bring, according to the report.

Manafort reportedly continued to communicate with the trusted associate after first being indicted in October 2017 for money laundering.

Allies of Manafort urged him to cut off communication with Kilimnik, also known as "KK," The Times reported. They reportedly argued that Kilimnik's communications could be bugged and that he is not discreet or tactful.

Kilimnik, a Russian Army-trained linguist, was Manafort's right-hand man for more than a decade and ran the Kiev office of Manafort's political consulting company, Davis Manafort Partners.

"KK is one of the best interpreter and translators," Philip Griffin, a longtime business partner of Manafort's in Ukraine who hired Kilimnik in 1995, told the Times. "On everything else, he is a dumbass."

The special counsel accused Manafort and Kilimnik this week of trying to conspire together in February to persuade former associates to lie about their project, according to court documents.

Mueller filed a superseding indictment on Friday in a D.C. court, bringing charges against Manafort and Kilimnik for obstruction of justice and conspiracy to obstruct justice.

The two new counts are in addition to five previously issued charges

So this is all the so-long-ballyhooed Mueller is capable of. Discovering even the flimsiest possible link between the campaign and members of the Russian government has proven impossible, and his already-farcical campaign turns into a mere game of slapping charges for having interacted with Russian people in any capacity. What a fraud.

The fact of the matter is, if we’re seeing even contacting a Russian associate in any capacity being claimed as evidence that nation somehow manipulated the election with what I can only suppose is black magic, then there’s far far more to indict Hillary for just on the basis of her well-documented links to Saudi Arabia alone.

You actually buy Trump's bullshit that somehow, the prosecutor he himself appointed is out to get him personally and nothing else? He's to investigate and prosecute whatever crimes he finds, not just go after Trump and nothing else. If he finds nothing about Trump, he's not going to go there, despite all the paranoid shrieking.

If he was a manic like Kevin Starr, he'd be going after Trump's crooked casino deals, bankruptcy frauds, and other previous misconduct. But his appointment was for Russia shit.

So far, he's got 20 indictments and 5 convictions. That's not bad. If there's nothing there, what should he do? Make shit up?

$17 million and zero Trump attachment to Russia is not a good job from a guy, in Mueller, who was appointed based on the suggestions of deep state faggotry.

This investigation has gone so far off track that they are going after shit that had nothing to do with Trump, the election nor Russia which is why Mueller has already been chastised in court on several occasions.

He is making shit up already, as we have seen here. I have no idea about how the convictions happened, but this indictnment is just guilt-by-association bullshit and if it's anything to go by so is that record.

If you have no idea what happened in any of the cases, how much is your opinion worth?

After having reviewed the cases, I'm still not impressed. Congratulations, he bagged several people linked to ... Manafort, someone I really don't think anyone heard about before this circus started.
