In the mid 90s I worked at a shopping mall doing maintenance. There was a guy that used to walk around with a mannequin. If you've never worked at a mall before, you may be surprised to know that most big shopping venues attract a dedicated group of regular crazies. They don't harass people, they don't ask for money and they aren't a general nuisance. So they get to stay. And if they break any of those simple rules, they're out. The staff largely ignore them and these people get their home filled with people to be around and feel kind of normal. Mannequin guy was on of these. He never bothered anyone outside of people feeling awkward by his presence and he was nice enough. Every now and again you'd have some kids or retard adults try to mess with the guy and that was when security or a "knowing" staff member would walk over and kindly inform them to lay off because eventually they're going to insult the mannequin and then the guy's crazy really comes out.
Mannequin guy was pretty cool and never put anyone in a headlock that didn't start it.
