Manual Car Master Race thread

I took a Type R for a test drive. What the fuck is with this autoblipping shit that I was told I couldn't turn off? Rev matching is part of the fun of driving manual.
Autoblipping probably caters to the same dickheads who need idiot lights to tell them who's in their blind spot instead of setting their rear view mirrors up properly.

Or if you live somewhere that's hilly with twisty roads, you can really enjoy yourself in a modestly powered small manual car. It's the most fun you can have without breaking the speed limit. There's a reason why the real star of Initial D is the AE86.
The AE86 is a great beginner's car, but for superior performance the people over here moved to the Toyota Starlet and the MR2. Starlet is superior in rallying because it is a smaller car with the exact same horsepower figures and similar suspension geometry, allowing for an inherently faster car on a special stage compared to the relatively large and expensive AE86. Meanwhile, the rallycross scene loves the MR2 because they don't really care if a car is mega-twitchy because it only means that once you get the hang of it, it can turn on a dime like any other mid-engined car can.

A family member had her VW truck hotwired--not too surprising, as it was in a work parking lot all day and the truck was rustic enough that the locks were more of a suggestion and the wires were just under the dash, not hidden by a panel or anything.

However, the thieves got as far as a loading dock, then ditched it. Presumably they were going to turn around in there but couldn't find reverse in an old VW.

I prefer manual transmission because repairs are cheaper and I need something to do with my hands, but it's really silly to brag about being able to drive stick. It's like walking in with a tie on and telling everyone JUST SO YOU KNOW, THIS ISN'T A CLIP-ON. Useful skill but weird to make a big deal about.
To be fair ability to drive something is a lil more useful than a fashion choice. Or really anything to do with a tie.

I am also an Amerifag
Here's a puzzle for you. I have been told, on good authority that it enrages and confuses Americans.
