What these NOMAPS need is a good accountability group. There are some recovery groups which require that their members 'check in' with a sponsor every day. Give them something like that. Every morning, contact your sponsor. Every evening, attend a meeting - call it Malsexuals Anonymous or whatever - where they keep each other on the straight and narrow. In other words, treat these deves the same way Narcotics Anonymous treats the junkies.

I don't really see a practical way that this could work.

For a start, very few of these characters seem to actually realize that they are sickening deviants and that if they can't seriously deal with their problem they should kill themselves.

Further, my understanding is that these AA/NA groups rely on face to face meetings and real person-to-person accountability. That's a recipe for pedos ganging up to rape and kill kids. The only advantage of something like this would be to make it easier for vigilantes to target them.

i am not asking this question to put any sticks in any wheels of the anti-pedo movement, or to ayy log pedophilia or some shit(i don't really know what ayy log means and i don't want to know). it just strikes me that if someone has a secret life as a pedo, the only thriving subculture really available which will not get you fucked in the eyes of the mainstream is precisely anti-pedo avenues, the tcap community, the DIY vigilantes, all the countless of documentaries and exposés. there you can talk about whatever all day as long as you pretend to harbor the anti-pedo narrative.

Remember how for the longest time it wasn't OK to be fascinated with serial-killers even though many was and it had to be done under this pretense of "concern" when what was there for a considerable amount of people was really a fascination they had to outwardly repress and express as concern and sadness, just so that they could continue being fascinated with serial killers.

It could work online. The website KillTheCan.org takes just that approach with people who want to quit smokeless tobacco. The deal is, you go to that site every day and post a promise not to use nicotine that day. They do this every day, no exceptions. They also exchange phone numbers and contact info for an added layer of accountability. The VirPed people could put that to work on their forums - post your promise, keep your word.

I think face-to-face meetings could be done with teleconferencing or video chat.

I see only 3 ways to effectively deal with them:

1. Lock them away permanently and ostracize them from society.

Essentially what is happening at the moment except done very poorly. Also very expensive.

2. Line them up against a wall.

Problem solved.

3. Physically castrate them.

It's obviously unacceptable for them to be near children so this option is relatively cheap and they can have reasonably normal lives.

Any thoughts?

There was a study or a few of them that concluded that castrated offenders still offend. I'm not sure if it's true for all pedophiles or it is about sexual abusers who just take opportunity, but since I assume that pedophilia is at least somewhat connected to power imbalance, I guess it would be worth mentioning.
I think it's because anything that is not sexual orientation itself (read, all sorts of preferences, fetishes, and to extend, paraphilias) always going to have some mental connotation to it. It is also learned, not innate. People, as species, are born gay, bi, and straight, but everything else is a result of conditioning.
What I mean is that I don't believe pedophiles are "just" attracted to children. So it makes sense why shutting down ability to orgasm or feel sexual pleasure won't help. Pleasure is not the goal here, it's merely a tool (orgasms are considered one of the strongest conditioning tools) to achieve something else. And this "something else" might probably be desire to corrupt a child, desire to have power over someone weaker for whatever reason, from their own childhood trauma as a bizarre way of "revenge" to simply not being able to function as a healthy adult in their actual/assumed dating pool.

Speaking of health. Recently I stumbled upon this video by Ready To Glare. It's easy to notice that person she interviews is really inconsistent and shouldn't be trusted.

1) The problem with this one is that we have to wait for the pedo to offend before we act. My goal is based on preventative medicine. We need to get to them before they act.

2) Only temporarily. All pedos alive today are dead...but what about future generations? They'll have their share of pedos, too.

3) GPS tracking can be used quite well. Get them a GPS implant (both to ensure discretion and to eliminate tampering). Then create a tracker available to law enforcement only that will allow them to monitor where these people come and go. Maybe give them a body camera, like what the police have?

It's the equivalent of those anti-gay senators that ended up being caught balls-deep in a male prostitute.
