"I'm gonna go to this rally where everyone is gonna have the opposite viewpoint of me, and then voice my opinion."

"I got called stupid by the people at that rally :("

Also, Hogg and his hand signal?

Would it be really ironic if there was a mass shooting at this march?
Of course not, only someone completely fucked up in the head would think that.
This is serious business, after all.

It really takes a special kind of heartless to look at kids who survived school shootings and mock them when they try to do something about it.

I don't know, I find it pretty easy to mock these kids when they're a part of crap like this, to be totally honest. Beyond that, when you're advocating for a fairly extreme stance that's completely at odds with Constitutional rights and insulting absolutely everyone on your way there, you're really not allowed to be surprised when you encounter criticism.

Congratulations, you witnessed a tragedy and experienced a hardship. I feel legitimately bad for you, I do, but that does not give you the inherent right to treat everyone else like garbage, nor does it give you carte blanche to jam your opinion in everyone else's face unopposed. When did this become about them and not the actual victims of the shooting, anyways? Does anyone even remember their names? Does anyone even remember their faces?

My favorite part of all these Anti Trump/Woman's/gun control/whatever rallies is all the dirty looking hipsters/sjws with the signs reading "My tax dollars shouldn't pay for this!"

Does anyone honestly think these people have jobs?

Whatever happened to compromising? Both sides are too busy bitching.

The Right was forced into compromise on gay marriage, on marijuana, on the ban of automatic weapons which had been legal up until the mid 1980s. They were forced into a compromise with Planned Parenthood, on allowing transgenders to enter the military, up until recently. They were made to surrender Christianity even so much as being mentioned in the schools, they've had their arm twisted into surrendering on gun laws and accessories and magazines time and time again a hundred times over just to try and appease these people, and all they ever do is demand more.

"Bake the cake, bigot! You can't use that word! You're racist no matter what you say! You CIS piece of human filth! Put more POC in everything! Take white people out of everything! Murder white people in South Africa!"

There's barely any ground left to give and as outraged and ridiculous as the Right can become, I cannot bring myself to blame them for becoming furious with an angry mob of "progressive" totalitarians who march behind a thin veneer masquerading as politeness to strong-arm people into capitulation, who want to take everything and give nothing back. I don't mean to come off as crass but I refuse to listen to anything about the Progressive camp talking about compromise when all they ever do is continue to shove their goalposts further and further up the field and demand that everyone shut up and just deal with it because "it's the current year!", and then throw an absolute fucking tantrum whenever someone takes so much as an inch of a step forwards.

Are they correct? No, probably not. I certainly agree that compromise is all but dead in modern politics, but I can absolutely understand why so many people on the Right side of the fence are blindingly furious about this sort of thing.

You need to calm down. 90% of the salt in this thread is coming from you.

I, too, express controversial opinions in salt threads and call anyone who disagrees with me salty regardless of what evidence they bring to show my original opinion was dumb
Fine then. He could have voiced them in a less salty way.
