Ancient Athens, Roman Republic, England 1500-1800, early America. Possibly Florence at some periods but don't know enough about it.

How would I improve it? Well, today's coalpha societies wouldn't need slavery and that shit. So that's an improvement.

And I'm curious how you see this all the time, if you're an unemployed welfare recipient. Do you regularly peruse offices to stare at women while they work?
