You don't always get what you want Holden. It's just a fact of life. I've always wanted a pet teacup pig, but I'm not ever going to get one... so that's sad. I've also always wanted a lot of things I'll never have.. but I've gotten over it. People who want relationships and sex but can't have them, for whatever reason, need to realize that a relationship and sex are wants, not needs; and then they need to go do some self-reflection on WHY they aren't getting the success they think they deserve. And yes, it's relatively easy to decide not to have sex or a relationship. It's like.. the easiest thing ever. Would I like to have a relationship? Yeah, as long as it was meaningful and the man cherished and respected me as much as I cherished and respected him. Would I like to have a sexual relationship? Well... right now? No. That's not something I want. I refuse to have sex with just anyone, so to just have sex means nothing to me. It's unattractive to me and unappealing.

To "just decide" not to have sex or a relationship just requires that the person has will power and the ability to say No. It's like saying someone loves chocolate... they can say no to it. Relationships are not a necessity. Sex is not a necessity. Do you honestly think a Monk wouldn't love to have a family? To have a wife and kids? I'm sure they would. But they have DECIDED not to in exchange for becoming a special member in their faith. No one wakes up one day and says "I guess I don't want sex anymore. I guess I don't want love/relationships anymore." They abstain from these things. It's a show of willpower.

So what exactly would I be locked up for in a sane society? My believe that sex and relationships are not a necessity for human survival? Because, factually, they aren't. I've explained this.

Would it have been a waste of time? You'll notice your current approach isn't getting you laid. Your belief that previous failures guarantee future failures under different circumstances isn't very scientific for a guy who believes himself to be so intellectually superior. I'm also rather skeptical of your claims of kindness in the past.
